Easter and spring Family Friendly activities taking place at the Pankhurst Centre

This Easter meet the “Suffrage-Eggs” here at the Pankhurst Centre. Decorate your own Emmeline Egg and follow our Suffrage-Egg trail to find out more about the Pankhurst family and other women involved in the suffragette movement, which started here in our house in 1903!

We open Thursdays and Sundays from 11am to 3pm. Entry is free,

The giant Easter egg hunt

Saturday 1 – Sunday 16 April
10am–6pm, daily, in the garden

Explore the garden searching for the supersized Easter eggs decorated by local artists Alastair Price and Cath Ford based on designs by local school children.

Once you’ve found all the eggs, you’ll be rewarded with a free chocolate treat from PLAYin CHOC – organic, vegan, free from main allergens and ethically made in the UK.

You’ll find a fun and interactive The Tiger Who Came to Tea adventure trail in Tatton Park’s beautiful spring gardens from 1 April – 31 August 2023.

This year, Tatton Park invites families, to step into the enchanting world of The Tiger Who Came to Tea and the playful story of Mog the Forgetful Cat, in partnership with HarperCollins Publishers, whose year-long programme of activities celebrates 100 years since the birth of Judith Kerr, best-selling author and illustrator of these classic books.

With February Half Term fast approaching!

RHS Garden Bridgewater have whatever the weather family fun activities inspired by the wonderful world of houseplants.
Explore the Houseplants In The Wild Trail or head off on a Woodland Scavenger Hunt. On rainy days, you can get creative and learn all about houseplants in our workshops – make a kokadama, create your own jam jar terrarium and more.
Join children’s gardening author, Annabelle Padwick for a fun interactive workshop where little ones can create their own living, vibrant, leafy jungle, complete with jungle characters, perfect for their bedroom or kitchen windowsill.
All that, plus adventure walks with the Garden Detectives, family yoga and storytelling.

Have fun at RHS Garden Bridgewater this February half term whatever the weather, at our week of family-friendly activities inspired by the wonderful world of houseplants.

RHS Bridgewater Gardens – October half term: Deadliest Plants and Bugs

We’ll be finishing off the week and celebrating Halloween with a weekend of mushroom exploration! There is so much to learn about mushrooms – what they are, why they are and also how amazing they are! The Fungi Guy will be joining us on Saturday 29 October for mushroom walks through Middlewood, showing you their amazing world, and on both Saturday 29 and Sunday 30 October Yan Tan Tethera return to Bridgewater for interactive story walks, all about the deadly and magical folklore surrounding our fungi friends…

The centrepiece of Manchester Day this Sunday 19th is the stunning parade, weaving its way through the city. The parade is usually a mile long, and takes up to an hour to pass any one point!
