TEXT: Ezekiel 36:28-38 (NIV)

DCLM Daily Manna 6 June 2025 Message

When you see the statement, “Terms and conditions apply” in a sales promotion, advertisement or other messages that make an offer of certain benefits, what do you make of it? The statement means that you cannot enjoy the benefit(s) offered without accepting the terms and conditions spelled out by the advertiser. You are required to enter a sort of contract with the person making the offer.

Similarly, when God makes promises, most times, those promises come with terms and conditions (T&C). We see this play out in today’s text. God, through Prophet Ezekiel, assured the exiled Jews of a gracious restoration, not only to their land but also to favour and cordial relationship with Him. Ezekiel chapter 36 is filled with God’s “I wills” eight of which are found in today’s text alone. These delightsome promises cover a long range of areas that meant so much to them. For instance, He promised to be their God, cleanse them, restore them to their rightful possessions, and give them a bumper harvest. He sealed the promise by saying, “I the LORD have spoken it, and I will do it.” Here is the T&C of these promises: “I will yet for this be enquired of by the house of Israel, to do it for them.”

READ Daily Manna 5 June 2025 – A Necessary Heart Transplant

Many Christians are content to read God's promises in the Bible and hope that they will automatically be fulfilled in their lives. It is true that God honours His word and will liberally give out blessings, especially to those in good standing with Him. However, as a general principle, He expects us to pray to “draw down” the blessings.

It is a general testimony of the Scripture that those who earnestly seek the Lord will find Him. Our Lord Jesus Christ made it clear, “For every one that asketh receiveth; and he that seeketh findeth; and to him that knocketh it shall be opened” (Matthew 7:8). Whatever you desire from God today – salvation, sanctification, the Spirit’s in-filling, provision, healing, protection… You need to pray. Prayer is an acknowledgement of our dependence on God and the expression of our faith in His faithfulness. And He delights in it.

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY: Your attitude of prayer reflects what God means to you.

BIBLE IN ONE YEAR: Psalms 1-8

Open Heaven Daily 6 June 2025 Message

In 1979, I would wake up in the middle of the night and cry out to God, “Oh God, I have agreed to serve You as a minister, but I don’t want to be an ordinary minister of the gospel. I need power to do Your work; please give me power.” I would cry out to God in prayer from 10pm to 5am, but nothing happened for months.

Then, one night, God spoke and said, “Will you keep quiet and listen? What have you done with the power you already have?” I thought to myself, “If I already had power, why would I be asking for it?” The Lord continued, “Son, what is written in Acts 1:8?”

I knew it by heart, so I quoted it. He then asked if I had been baptised in the Holy Spirit, and I said, “Years ago.” He asked me, “Is my word true?” I replied, “Yes, it is.” He asked further, “If you have been baptised in the Holy Spirit, why then are you still asking for power? I said, “But Lord, I don’t feel powerful”. Then He said, “Did I say the just shall live by their feelings?” He told me that the just lives by faith, not feelings, as the Bible says in Romans 1:17. After this conversation, I told myself that I would lay hands on the next sick fellow I came across, and I went to sleep.

I woke up late the following morning to meet a church member with her child in my living room. This woman had a child who had been ill and the child had not slept for days. At the hospital, she was asked to take the child home because there was nothing more the doctors could do. Although I was scared, I laid my hands on the child and felt the child go limp. I thought the child was dead, but when I opened my eyes, the child was fast asleep; God had healed her. Since then, I have not stopped laying hands on people, and I have seen special miracles happen.

Beloved, if you are baptised in the Holy Ghost, you already have the power of God in you. You do not have to feel powerful; just believe in God’s word, and He will perform special miracles through you.

Key Point: If you are baptised in the Holy Spirit, you already have power to do exploits for God.

TOPIC: A Necessary Heart Transplant

TEXT: Ezekiel 36:16-27 (KJV)

KEY VERSE
A new heart also will I give you, and a new spirit will I put within you: and I will take away the stony heart out of your flesh, and I will give you an heart of flesh.
(Ezekiel 36:26)

DCLM Daily Manna 5 June 2025 Message

The most dreaded failure is heart failure because the heart is very central to life. The heart is responsible for pumping blood around the body. Stoppage of this process is called cardiac arrest, which warrants immediate steps to get the heart working or death will result. Some treatments may help a heart failure patient live longer. But when other treatments fail, a heart transplant becomes inevitable. This involves surgery to replace the diseased heart with a healthy one from an organ donor.

The Bible often metaphorically refers to the human heart as the centre of emotions and desires, where all expressions in life originate. God promised to give a new heart to the Jews who had strayed from Him, cleansing them from sin and idol worship. This restoration process would involve being purified with pure water, symbolizing God’s word and the Holy Spirit’s influence. Additionally, God would replace their stubborn hearts with ones capable of following His ways, by placing His Spirit within them. This transformation would enable them to live according to His will and commend them to His favour again.

READ Daily Manna 29 May 2025 – The Joy of True Worship

These all point to the glorious experiences that God intends not only for the Jews but also for humanity. God’s word makes it clear that “all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God” (Romans 3:23). But sin defiles and damns the soul and leads to eternal punishment in hell. However, God not willing that anyone should perish has made provision for our cleansing through the blood of Jesus Christ that was shed on the cross. We can be saved from the power, pollution, and punishment of sin.

More than this, by the operation of the Holy Spirit in our hearts, God wants, through the second work of grace (sanctification) to change our stony (hard, cold, and unyielding) hearts to a heart of flesh (a tender heart that feels more love for God and people). Furthermore, He has promised to put His Spirit within us, even in a baptismal measure to empower us for His service. Until you, through penitent and longing prayer, avail yourself of these blessings, you are not where God wants you to be.

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY: A sin-deformed heart needs no mending but a transplant called sanctification.

MFM Daily Devotional 5 June 2025 Message

In Acts 17:11, we learn that the Berean Christians searched the scripture daily. The word of God was their daily bread. If we must be like the Berean Christians, we must read the word of God every day. We must get very close to God’s word and esteem it more than our necessary food. That was the Berean Christians’ attitude. Jeremiah 15:16 says, “Thy words were found, and I did eat them; and thy word was unto me the joy and rejoicing of mine heart: for I am called by thy name, O Lord God of hosts.” As the bread of life, the word of God does a lot of good to our lives.

Bread is a staple food in many countries, and millions of people eat it daily. The word of God is the bread of life that never goes stale. God wants us to eat and internalise His word. When we read the word of God daily, we expose ourselves to the mirror of God’s word, and our attitudes and character change for the better; we begin to conform to God’s image. When we read God’s word daily, we hide it in our hearts and memorise it; we also meditate on it. All these will make us spiritually and physically healthy. Psalm 119:11 says, “Thy word have I hid in my heart, that I might not sin against thee.”

READ MFM Devotional 30 May 2025 – Discharged By The Blood

In giving Joshua a prescription for success after the death of Moses, God told Joshua that His word should not depart from Joshua’s mouth, but he should meditate on it day and night so that he would do according to all that is written therein, for then he shall make his way prosperous and have success (Joshua 1:8). In saying that His word should not depart from Joshua’s mouth, God was saying that Joshua should feed on His word as men feed on bread. His success and prosperity would depend on how well he eats, internalises, and meditates on God’s word. God’s standard remains sure and unchanging. If you want to prosper and record good success, read and apply the word daily in obedience and unwavering faith!

Many years ago, God spoke to me while I was preaching, and I shared it with the congregation. He said, “There is someone here; three breakthroughs are coming for you. When the first comes, 100% of the proceeds should be given to me. When the second comes, you are to split it 50-50 between me and you. The third one will be all yours.” Some days later, a widow brought some money to me and said that it was the proceeds of the first breakthrough God had mentioned. Because I knew she was struggling financially, I refused to collect the money, insisting that God may not have been referring to her. She insisted that I collect it, and I eventually did. I kept the money somewhere, ready to return it to her whenever she realised that she was not the one the prophecy was about.

In the book of Revelation, satan is called the “accuser of the brethren”. Yes, he is. Of course, he is the spirit at work in the sons of disobedience. He was the one who worked in the soldiers to persecute the Christians in Ephesus, Rome and other places.

The devil also, through crooked and manipulative ways, makes Christians fall out of grace, doubt their faith, shift their faith from the finished work of Christ to their own works of righteousness or he makes them sin-conscious. However, Christ has made you worthy by His blood, “But now in Christ Jesus ye who sometimes were far off are made nigh by the blood of Christ” (Ephesians 2:13).

READ MFM Daily Devotional 29 May 2025 – Activating Grace

This is a beautiful assurance, “For we have not a high priest which cannot be touched with the feeling of our infirmities; but was in all points tempted like as we are, yet without sin. Let us therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need” (Hebrews 4:15-16). Remember the words of John: do not toy with sin, but whenever you find yourself messed up, never allow the devil to accuse you. Instead, remember the blood that was shed for you on the cross and run to the Lord in repentance.

That blood is God’s liquid love that flows from the very heart of God. Your Father understands your frail human nature. All you need to do is come boldly to the throne of grace, confident, not in your mistake, but in the blood of Christ and obtain mercy. “If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us and cleanse us from all unrighteousness.” Hallelujah! Now, take note that the blood of

And she said, The Philistines be upon thee, Samson. And he awoke out of his sleep, and said, I will go out as at other times before, and shake myself. And he wist not that the LORD was departed from him.
(Judges 16:20)
DCLM Daily Manna 30 May 2025 Message

The Australian predatory little plant, the sundew, is delicate and cunning. Although its attractive clusters of red, white, and pink flowers and delicate blossoms are harmless, the leaves are deadly. The shiny moisture on each sundew leaf is sticky and easily imprisons any bug that touches it. As an insect struggles to free itself, the vibration causes the leaves to close tightly around it. This innocent-looking plant then feeds on its victim.

Delilah was a cunning seductress in the Philistine countryside. She compensated for what she lacked in physical strength by her temerity, doggedness, and possessive devilishness to tempt and trap one who was a thousand times stronger than she. In her, we see the bane of beauty. However, in her victim, Samson, we see the folly of a hunting dog destined to be lost and who will always ignore the hunter’s whistle. Delilah’s beauty was irresistible for a prodigal Samson. As a potent tool in the arsenal of an oppressed nation, Samson underestimated the power of consuming evil and the conspiracy of hell against his destiny and that of the people he was created to deliver.

READ Daily Manna Thursday 29 May 2025 – The Joy of True Worship

Severally and continuously, Samson carelessly walked the boundaries of good and evil, hoping to emerge stronger. However, his human weakness and lack of personal discipline destroyed him. So it is for everyone who is bankrupt of spiritual convictions, tottering on the edge of faith and fatality. In Delilah, we understand the persistence of evil to overcome good. In Samson, we see the end of a life lived recklessly outside the boundaries of godly convictions. No believer should ever roam in territories where constant temptation is the order of daily living. God expects us not only to flee youthful lusts but also to tenaciously follow after righteousness, faith, charity, peace, purity, and perfect relationships that will prolong our lives (1 Timothy 6:11,12).

Samson never learned the lesson of not being unequally yoked with unbelievers. His attempt to be a hero for Israel ended up making him a zero in godly example. Those who call on the name of the Lord must know and believe in His holiness and His aversion to polluted offerings. God expects us to live above sin and be separated from Him so that our end will not be like Samson’s.

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY: A moment’s sinful indulgence reduces one from the zenith to zero point.

7 And he from within shall answer and say, Trouble me not: the door is now shut, and my children are with me in bed; I cannot rise and give thee.

8 I say unto you, Though he will not rise and give him, because he is his friend, yet because of his importunity he will rise and give him as many as he needeth.

9 And I say unto you, Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you.

10 For every one that asketh receiveth; and he that seeketh findeth; and to him that knocketh it shall be opened.

MEMORISE
And I say unto you, Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you.

BIBLE IN ONE YEAR: Job 13-16

In Mark 10:46-52, Bartimaeus cried continually until Jesus attended to him. If Bartimaeus had not been persistent, he may not have gotten his miracle. In Genesis 32:24-28, when the angel said to Jacob, “Let me go,” he replied, “I won’t let you go until you bless me.”

Beloved, hold on to God until you get your miracle. He said in Isaiah 62:6-7 that you should not let Him rest until He establishes you and makes you a praise in the earth.

Many people don’t get their miracles because they give up too soon. However, people who know how to continually knock on heaven’s doors always receive answers. Jesus told the parable of the widow who didn’t stop demanding justice in Luke 18:2-5. She wouldn’t let the judge rest until he attended to her matter. Although he didn’t fear God or regard men, the widow’s persistence pushed him to help her. In today’s Bible reading, Jesus told another parable of a fellow who went to his friend’s house at midnight to ask for bread to entertain a visitor. Jesus said that even though his friend might not want to respond to him because it was late, he would rise and give him as many loaves as he wanted because of his persistence.

Every problem you might experience in your life has an expiry date if you don’t give up on God. If you continually knock, the door will eventually open. People who are fainthearted or give up easily cannot get anything significant from life. Such people let go, even when they are so close to their blessing.

People who don’t let go are people of great determination. Some of them wrestle all night in prayer and continue knocking on heaven’s door until they receive answers. Be determined; don’t give up on your prayers until you receive answers like Daniel (Daniel 10:2-14), Jacob (Genesis 32:24-28), Elijah (1 Kings 18:42-45), and the widow in Jesus’ parable (Luke 18:2-5).
