We wanted to find out a little more about why our cast wanted to audition for Calendar Girls the Musical and here is Julia telling us why:

“So … why did I want to audition for Calendar Girls the Musical? Quite simply I felt a connection with the story - it was like some weird force drawing me in.

I hadn’t been on stage, like many of us, for a few years and wanted to check I could still ‘do it’. The character of Jessie, (although, a little older than me!!! ) has some poignant lines - ‘Don’t act the colour of your hair, act the colour of your heart’. So I am acting the colour of my heart for the next two months - and LOVING IT!

I truly believe that Team Calendar Girls won’t be performing the musical - we’ll be living it!”
