We all feel a little pulled this way, and that way at the moment.

We have just been put back into a "local lockdown" with 2 hours notice...

It is so easy to get frustrated about things that are out of our control, and believe me when I say. I want normality!
But for now, I will continue to do what is asked for me, in hope the end is closer than we think 🤞

Why don't we focus on the things we can control, lets get organised! I do love a good organisation session... what do you do to keep on top of things?

You know that in order to get more reach, finding the perfect hashtags are a hard task.

Doing the research is key;
- Use keywords and see what relates
-Check out what other similar businesses are using and follow the trail
-You should already have your ideal customer in mind..go look at a few profiles and see what they are using or following.
-If you have hashtags in mind, click on them and see if they actually lead to what you are wanting
-ideally, you don't want to go for your larger/more popular hashtags as you could quickly get lost in the crowd.. make sure the bulk you use and in the mid-range (10k-200k)

Now you have done the research, gather them together and stick them into groups.. an ideal number to rotate is 80-100.

The answer should be yes!

If you are selling a small local brand, the people you want supporting your business will naturally gravitate towards the personal touch. Who needs corporate?!

Of course I am going to celebrate the number mile stones 🥳🥳 100 followers etc!

But does having a large number of followers automatically mean hitting the sales?

Absolutely not, building a following isn't building a community and a community is what you need. People who are invested in you and what you are offering.

What numbers should you be looking at then?
Engagements. That is the one. Up your engagements, reply quicker, invite discussion, welcome feedback, post your stories ..

Its a lot of hard work and graft, but you know it is worth it.

Hustle and Hard work

There are no two ways about it, this is what is going to get you where you want to be.

Everyone will be familiar with the “iceberg” Theory. What you see on the surface is nothing compared to what is going on beneath.

I can think of about 8 things I need to do before I put together a single post.
Yet all you see is the post, but it has to be done right! SO I put that time and effort in.

Are you able to do the same for your business? Because marketing really should be a priority.

Are you a morning person or a night person?

When do you produce your best work?

Me personally, I am a night person who has always longed to enjoy the mornings and wake ups more. I use it to my advantage though.

Evenings are when I put in the hard graft, working on content and scheduling posts. This frees up the day to work on engagement and insights and to plan ahead.

Social Media Growth...this is where putting the time in really makes a difference

So you are using the right hashtags, you are getting some interest in your posts.. how do you build on that?🤔

Take the time to interact with as many people as you can who have commented or reacted to your posts

Don’t post and run, hang around a bit, follow some of your hashtags and interact with them

Spread the love, be grateful for the community you are building and keep encouraging that relationship

Ask the question!

Use the audience you are building to help form your brand, ask them for feedback and act on it!

Ask them if this is a product they would want, then produce it!
Why spend all this time trying to increase your following if you are not going to use them to your advantage?

Algorithms 😕

If you have set up a social media business account, you will have heard of the term... but do you have any idea what it means or how they work?

In this instance, an algorithm is used by SM to decide what you are likely to see first or at the top of your feed.

It works by gathering the data of the user, for example, who they interact with the most or what they are searching for on a regular basis.

SO how as a business are you able to beat the system and get yourself out there?

- Post more often
- Mix up the content, include videos just as much as photos
- Call to actions
- Become a hashtag expert
- Engagement

I can't help it, I am british..I have to comment on the weather. IT IS SO HOT...What I wouldn't give to be by a pool while I was working.

Good evening all - would really appreciate you all taking time to read the following and a comment, like or share would be so welcomed......

So tomorrow we are able to fully reopen after what seems a long very long time and we are so excited to see everyone!!

For the next few weeks we will be adjusting to the new normal with revised opening hours to ease everyone back in and to do so cautiously.

Please bear with us whilst we adapt to the new rules and regulations that we have to adhere to.

From Monday 15th June are opening hours until further notice will be Monday - Thursday ONLY 10am - 2pm. We will continue to deliver on Fridays but the shop will be closed.

Saturdays for now we are going to remain closed. This is so we can deep clean and have a few hours off over the weekend to prepare for the week ahead. If you do have a special request for a Saturday delivery please check as we will do all we can to help you.

We are also for now still only able to offer next and future day deliveries but again this will eventually change.

We kindly ask that only one person/household/family enter the shop at once and where possible keep a two metre distance from our staff and others.

We wish this was not the case and things were business as usual, for now though we hope we can pick up where we left off all those weeks ago and we will come back with your support bigger and stronger.

So, why am I so excited I hear you ask..

The more likes means more reaches, which means more engagement (more on that a little later)

Likes have a knockon effect. One person likes a page or a post, it bumps it up a news feed a little which in turn allows more views etc etc
