Ah another lapse in posting. At least I’m consistent with my lack of posting & we all know consistency is key in marketing speak 😏
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
In fairness, I have been a little busy with client’s & going through all the changes they face as they’ve reopened or are in the process of doing so which has made content planning somewhat more challenging 🤨 especially as three of my clients have not even been open for business over the last three months.....
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
On the plus side, as I checked one of those clients Facebook insights, and I have a very definite love/hate relationship with Facebook for marketing, the results made all those “difficult moments” a little worthwhile!
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
So over the last month -
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
👉🏻 Post engagement was up by 1754%
👉🏻 Post reach was up by 848%
👉🏻 Page views were up by 725%
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
I’m actually pretty rubbish at trying to sell myself as it definitely doesn’t sit comfortably with me but yeah, I’m a little bit pleased with that! Especially being relatively new to marketing too. No paid for posts or ads, all organic reach. Each post was honest, a bit light hearted and not a direct sales pitch. Hence today’s quote 👇🏻
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
It’s true what they say…… people really do buy people ☺️

Not a bad spot for a client catch up this morning 👌🏼

Winning at Monday with not one, but two deliveries today & ALL FOR ME 🙌🏻 I never, ever buy a diary in January. I’m all about the mid year planner (probably years of having school age children that does it) so I literally couldn’t resist this Hello Day planner. It’s gonna change my life I tell ya!
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
For someone who markets themselves in social media I’ve been a bit rubbish on here so far (so much easier to do others marketing than your own) but I had to share this, it’s one of the most beautifully packaged gifts EVER 🖤 ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

And this is exactly the reason I love finding & coming across so many talented small businesses on social media (and of course why I love what I do 😊)

With a fresh Freddie's Flowers delivery AND getting back to visiting clients this week means Mondays officially no longer suck. Well this week anyway.......

Just how is it 1st June already??! For all its crappiness and faults, 2020 is 💯 whizzing by........

Definitely a year for businesses to think outside the box, adapt super quick and face challenges no one could ever, ever have imagined.

But also, as 2019 saw the fastest growth rate for the newly self employed, bringing the total in the UK alone to over 5 million (1.4 million of them being freelancers, like me 🙋‍♀️😀 ) and now with many unemployed or on reduced hours, next year could see this surge even higher as people get creative with new ideas, turn part time hobbies into full scale services or finally have the hours free to let the side hustles take centre stage 🎉

And that would definitely be something to be applauded! 👏

FACEBOOK SHOPS.....

What are we thinking? 🤔

Facebook announced its new free online store feature a few days ago making it easier for small businesses to bring their products online and connect with customers.

So is this perfect timing with Corona Virus helping small businesses survive during lockdown? Or just another blow to the already struggling high street and another step in Facebook's plan to make people spend even more time on their platform?

With so many small local businesses having to rethink the way they operate over the last few months in order to keep going and relying on the power of social media to stay connected with their customers could this be the answer to their survival? 💭 (only if it works for their business obvs!)

20/05/2020

Day 13 of yoga. Complete with furry friend giving me odd looks. I don’t even know who I am anymore......

(apart from someone who now feels the need to share their exercise efforts on social media 😏)

16/05/2020

So.......finally! 🎉

After 2 years of quietly managing freelance social media marketing & months of plugging away at a little website for myself in between various work, client content, mum life blah blah....... today I pushed that button & my website is LIVE!

I mean, if you're gonna officially start up your business it may as well be during a global pandemic and economic crisis right??

Website here for all to see what it is I actually do! 👇🙈

About me

First of all, I'll be upfront. I'm not a fancy marketing agency, or have a big digital team to work with. I could pretend I am or I have, but I won't. It's just me, Camilla.

My story is really quite simple........my friend has a business. And she, like many small business owners struggled with keeping her social media up together or had little ideas on how or what to post, because she’s already wearing many hats running that business! So one day over lunch I created a post for her (putting my love of writing to use and taking me back to English language GCSE days) and that's it. Now, two years later here I am. No past experience, just a huge amount of love and a lot of newfound passion for marketing.

So now I work with a number of small local businesses in various industries on their social media content and digital marketing. Within this time frame I have navigated a whole new world of digital content strategy, everything from simple social media posts to web management to blog writing. I absolutely love telling their business story, engaging with their customers, building relationships, getting my creative head on and helping my clients elevate and grow their business whilst freeing up their time to allow them to do what they best.

In addition to this, with over 20 years experience as a PA and in administration and financial services I can also take on those all important jobs whether it’s a one off, a few hours a week or on a regular basis. Outsourcing the smallest of tasks can make the biggest difference to your very own work/life balance!
