STAVANGER 🇳🇴

We had such a great time exploring this beautiful city, it was a gorgeous day with clear blue skies and the sun was shining ☀️

We had a great park up right next to the marina which was about a 20 minute walk to the city center! We strolled in nice and early to find the shops shut... but this time they were going to open 🙌🏼😄 it was palm Sunday so the shops were opening a little later.

In the mean time we had a lovely walk around the city and marina where there were plenty of military ships and other boats 🛥⛴️

We then went for a coffee and cake in one of the local cafes 🍰☕️

The buildings were so pretty and had so much colour! It really was beautiful and city and would highly reccomend a visit!!

THE ALANTIC OCEAN ROAD & GEIRANGER 🇳🇴

Wow, a dream come true! Getting to drive our home on wheels along this incredible stretch of road here in the west of Norway! A road we had seen many times on the TV and a destination we always wanted to get to and we finally did it 😭 🚐💨 It was a gorgeous day for it, and for us to take it all in and appreciate how far we had come 🫶🏼

It was then a few hours drive south again, driving over some incredible mountain passes to catch the last ferry over to Geiranger. This was a hour long ferry ride but it was a luxurious ferry! We passed through Norways number 1 rated fjord and we were all on our own! Felt like a private cruise all to ourselves! However once we arrived we soon realised why we were so alone of the ferry... everything was shut for the season 😅 in the summer I'm sure it would be packed and a buzzing little place but not where we were there, so it was a short visit and got the ferry back the following day ⛴️.

We are now on our way to Bergen 🇳🇴

NORWAY UPDATE 🇳🇴

Its been a crazy last week, we had the best time with Katie and Phil who have now gone back to the UK and we have continued our trip further south 🚐💨

It's been a few long driving days usually doing about 4 hours of driving each day. We then made it to the great Atlantic road and oh my.... it literally took our breath away 🥹 this is the place we have always wanted to get to in the van and it didn't disappoint 🫶🏼

We are now in a town called Alesund where we have been for a decent hike and looking forward to having a look around the town tomorrow!

LOFOTEN ISLANDS

We have had the best time exploring these beautiful islands just off the west of Norway!
These islands right here are the reasons we started van life and made it a mission to take our van here and explore! The fact we were able to see all that we wanted with two of our closest friends was super special but to top it all off we had 2 days of pure sunshine and evenings which were full of the northern lights 🌌

It's been the highlight of the trip so far, so here are loads of photos for you guys to check out for the time being before our youtube video comes out in a few weeks time 🫶🏼

Feeling very blessed and grateful right now!!

The Drive to Lofoten 🏔

After one more night in Tromso, the following morning we met up with our good friends Katie and Phil who had flown out from the UK and hired a campervan for the week 🚐👌🏼

We set off late in the afternoon making our way towards the stunning Lofoten islands! We drove for a good few hours before we spent the night parked up by a gorgeous beach about 4 hours from Lofoten, where we went for a walk and then spent the evening catching up and playing monopoly deal 🎩

This morning we had to catch a ferry between two islands on the way south which was incredible as we saw some huge pods of dolphins and what we think may have been a whale 🥹

We are currenty at the start of the Lofoten islands in a a nice park up overlooking the mountains and sea! Excited to explore properly tomorrow 📸🚐

TROMSØ 🇳🇴

After the best time exploring the very northern part of Norway it was time we started to make our way south, which would also be the start of the very long drive home ( don't worry, we still have at least a month to travel down Norway 🤩)

We took the 5 hour drive from Alta to Tromso, we didn't intend on doing all in one day but the views we spectacular so it made the drive so so easy!

We were running low on gas so went to check into a campsite for the night but unfortunately they were fully booked on the Sunday 😐 so we had to make other arrangements and fortunately we got hold of someone who could help us fill up with gas here in Tromso, so with all that done we parked on the island ready for a day of exploring!

It was a gorgeous day, we started with a lovely walk down around the city in and around the waters edge! Stopped for a much needed coffee and then a bite to eat 👌🏼 we treated ourselves and went to the hardrock cafe and had the fajitas 🤤

Today has been another van admin day, we are on a camp site tonight for this reset and it only cost £36 with use of the washing machine!
Tomorrow we have our close friends heading out to see us and they are hiring a van and we will be exploring more of Norway together which we are so excited for!

So stay tuned as we will be heading to somewhere very icon and picturesque 📷

🇳🇴 WE MADE IT TO NORWAY 🇳🇴

After waking up only an hour from the boarder to Norway we packed up the van and made our way to our 8th Country and to be honest the one we have been looking forward to the most!

Just over 2 years ago we were sat in our house in Plymouth watching videos of Noway on the TV dreaming about exploring it... and here we are doing exactly that!

Our first stop in Norway was the northern town of Alta ( they had the most modern cathedral we has seen and its actually named after the northern lights). The drive here was nothing we had seen so far on this trip, we had mountains, winding roads, seeing the sea for a long time and so much more!

We had a good look around, did some van life admin and were aiming to head to tromso, however those plans changed within an hour! We met up with our friend Alex again and he said he was off to North Cape. Which is the most northern part of Europe and invited us along with him! It wasn't something we could pass up so instead of starting the desent south we ended up driving 4 hours further north.... and it was SO SO worth it!!

It's a mad road to get there but on our arrival we were met by a slight glow of the northern lights, which the turned into a full on light show! Such a surreal feeling and we both sat there so grateful for this moment 🙏🏼

We hope you guys love the photos, as you all know by now, the camera can never capture truly what the eyes see but we are pleased we can share this experience with you 🧡

CABIN IN THE WOODS 🏡

This morning we went for one final walk around the town of Levi, where we came across a gorgeous little coffee shop.
We couldn't help our selves so we popped in for a coffee and a light bite to eat!

We then hit the road north, making our way towards the Norwegian boarder, but on the way we came across something on Google maps which looked really idyllic!

We parked up on the side of the road, packed a bag and made the short 300 meter walk to a gorgeous cabin set on a frozen lake. There was plenty of fire wood, some matches so we put it all to good use and made our selves comfy. We enjoyed another coffee, and played some monopoly deal! (If you haven't played this game your seriously missing out 😆)

After a few hours passed we made our way back to Olive 🚐 as it was time to go and stock up the cupboards! We are about 3 hours from the Norwegian boarder now and parked up in a small town overlooking yet another frozen lake, having just enjoyed a lush tapas dinner 🥗🥙🥖

We were live on the radio 📻

This morning we woke up at the bottom of the slopes here in Levi, Finland 🇫🇮. We got out nice and early for a morning walk with flether around the bottom of the slopes and through the forrest 🌲

We then got back into Olive and settled down with a cuppa ready to go live with John Acres on BBC Devon, we chatted with him back in the summer about our decision to go full time van life and this time he wanted to hear how life was treating us up here in the Arctic circle ❄️

Chris then heading out for a day on the slopes while Sam stayed back at the van and caught up with some work 👌🏼

Levi ski resort was absolutely huge and super busy (maybe half term here in Finland) but Chris made the most of it at was skiing from 10 am till 6pm!

We have decided to stay here for another night before hitting the road again tomorrow and getting closer to our next country on this Arctic adventure 🚐💨

‼️SORRY FOR THE LACK OF UPDATES‼️

We are super sorry that we have been so quiet the past couple of days!Carrying on the last post where we left you back in Kiruna!

After heading back to Kiruna and getting the animal health certificate for Flether we ended up meeting up with a fellow van lifer who was having some difficulty with their van! Chris did all he could to help and we stayed with him for 2 days!

So 2 days ago we made the 4 and half hour trip across the boarder to Finland 🇫🇮 we were met with no boarder control, and some warmer than expected weather +2 degrees. We went straight to Santa's village which is located in Rovaniemi.
It was free to park in the carpark and as we arrived in the dark it was amazing to see it all lit up! We got up nice and early the next day for a stroll around and see what it had to offer! There were plenty of souvenir shops, restaurants, and you could even meet the big man himself 🎅 it was a surreal experience there and we would reccomed if you ever get the chance 👌🏼

Tonight we are parked up at the bottom of a ski resort with a very exciting day ahead tomorrow 🎿
