Social Media Strategies don’t have to be as scary, or maybe as complicated as they sound.

By creating a social media strategy you’ll then have a solid plan in place going forward on how you can keep your social media active, gain new followers and ensure they engage, and also smash your social media goals.

A strategy will help you know exactly how each social media stream (Instagram, Facebook etc) is doing for your business, and how it fits in with your bigger business strategy and plans.

Your strategy will be the backbone of reaching your goals on social media. It will help you to know who your competitors are, what they’re working on and any opportunities they might be missing out on, that you can take advantage of.

You also need to know about your ideal audience - who they are, what they do, what influences and why they might come to you specifically.

Do you want to get more eyes on your business by using Reels? Here’s two super simple ideas to get just that result!

Reel Idea One: 4 Simple Steps

Make this Reel nice and simple - use a trending audio and and create a 15 second clip of you pointing in the air of the steps to something you teach or a product you sell. If you don’t want to be on camera you can always upload a candid video.

Reel Idea Two: Do This To Get..

Fill in the gap with something your ideal customer wants to know. For example: Do This To Get Your Business Seen on Social Media

Don’t forget to use Call to Actions at the end of your Reels to bring in that engagement ~ ask a question, “like if you agree”, encourage them to tag a friend in the comments or someone that can relate.

New Instagram Feature: Swipe to find out more ➡️

Instagram is adding another engagement feature with polls in comments being rolled out for testing by selected users.

Polls have proven to be a popular engagement option in other forms on the app such as stories, with it making it super easy for users to engage with other users content.

They can also be a fab way for businesses to to get feedback, and boost engagement on their posts with the simple response tool making it even easier to get a lot of interactions on your posts ✅

Hashtag Optimisation #️⃣

To get the best engagement on your posts, it is also important that you engage on posts similar to yours. A way to do this, is to use your search bar and search for specific hashtags relating to your business, niche, industry, audience and location. ⁣⁣
⁣⁣
If you search for, for example, # socialmediamanager and click on to recent posts, engage on the first 10-20 posts on that hashtag - likes and comments are the best way to do this. ⁣⁣
⁣⁣
You can also follow hashtags so that you don’t have to always search for the same hashtag when you want to do this. ⁣
⁣
Try not to use the same hashtags every time in your posts as it can be seen as spam so make sure you change some of them up when you post!

Don’t just pin any post that you like, make sure you’re pinning strategically

Your pinned posts are the posts that live at the top of your grid which makes them the FIRST thing that people see when they visit your profile.

So, pin the posts that build trust with your audience, or talk about your freebies or promotional posts, or even the post that shares more about you and your journey
