If you are a Veteran community leader, you run a support group, charity that is focused on Veteran Care and support. Join us here so there is a single space that we can all work together to support veterans. Currently, there is no everywhere, all the time service in the UK. Yes, there are phone numbers and QRF'S setup. There needs to be discussion and planning from you the leaders of all groups across the UK.

TRIGGER WARNING. Sadly, another Veteran has taken his life.

I believe he left this video as a message to others out there, that are struggling. Please, Please speak to someone. Anyone, a family member, a mate from service or a complete stranger even. It is the first step.

As a community, Veterans are making great strides in creating hubs and groups and charities to help Veterans. It is amazing some of the tireless and selfless work that is happening right now. The one thing that is missing is being everywhere, all the time every time. And for some, the timing may not be right. There isn't much to be done about that. What we can all do, is continue to strive towards raising awareness. Working together to make a nationwide awareness program. I know we have 1000's of charities and we know the Government don't do enough. They have made a start though, there are many programs started by the Government that we as a collective community need to inundate and use to the max. Speaking with one giant voice we can pressure the Govt. They won't listen to individuals or small groups they want to see, we all want to see the whole Veteran community on the same page. No more ego, no more self promotion and no more kingdom building.
There are many like Gaz, who have fallen through the Veteran Care Communities grasp, the NHS services they may have used are too infantile at present to deal with complex mental health issues that ex armed forces suffer with. There is a way to change this. To make sure there are no more Gaz's or at the very least give our Veterans that are suffering the very best chance.
Please tag Veteran organisations in this post. Let's see if we can get them talking, working together and find a way to pressure the Government and the large charities to listen to what is really going on.

Please sign this petition. The Army Cadet Force is a nationwide youth organisation that offers so much to the cadets that attend. Whether the cadets wish to join the Armed Forces or not, it is a supportive and progressive organisation that boosts an individuals confidence and opens up opportunities that young people might not experience elsewhere. The cut in funding that is in the offing could have damning consequences for 1000's of young people across the entire UK.

The govt have recently halved funding to State School Cadet units and Cadet Force Adult Volunteer Allowances. This is leading to reductions in activities and we think having a highly destructive impact on young people across the UK. We think this particularly impacts those from poorest backgrounds.
