So, I just came across this video. British guy, fighting in the International Legion in Ukraine. I think in a previous post, I mentioned that we should have been stopping our citizens and ex service people going and fighting over there. How on earth do we think it is right to allow already damaged Veterans to go to fight in conditions like that and be treated as pure canon fodder. They have already done it once and if they survive, who will be picking up the pieces. It is time people saw the truth of what is going on and what those fighting in Ukraine are facing, including Ukranians. Don't believe the propaganda. Yes, it is war and Yes it isn't meant to be nice. But the very fact that so many have been conned into becoming mercenaries, not even soldiers in yet another unjust war is the biggest con yet.

Watch the video and let us know what you think.

Thanks Jim Davidson and the The Walter Mitty Hunters Club HQ for sharing these details.

So, what can be done about these con artists? There website is still up, no doubt taking donations from the public. The company is still listed. The accounts that they have submitted are a joke. Would make you believe they have made pennies from their scam.

Reference the previous post that we made, there are 3000+ registered charities and God knows how many "Companies" like this. If the Charity Commission and/or Office for Veterans' Affairs are not going to police this, then the Veterans Community themselves should speak out and publicly report these people that are a stain on the character and memory of those that have and are serving. The Walter Mitty Hunters Club do great work, but can only work if people speak up.

Maybe Al Carns for Labour has a plan? Would be great to hear if there is.

Walter Mitty Louis Mills, brother of Ben Mills coaching one of their paid lackeys how to window dress their money making scam for them.

Outside Marylebone station.

Here’s the deal as told to us by a former veteran in need who walked away after nearly falling for Mills scam.

We put you up in a B&B. We use your image and story on our social media pages. You go out in the streets five to six days a week with our merchandise, a bucket, some magazines and a card reader. Some lines to say to the police or press if approached.
Wear your beret if you have it and here’s an MTP jacket to wear with it.

Target the old ladies if you can as are more willing to hand over card details.
Encourage them to make a monthly donation.
Tell them how it will keep a roof over your head and fed. Show them our information card.
Tell them the other established charity’s did nothing for you and without Blighty you would be back on the streets.
Make enough money to get a % of the takings after deductions . (Which only Ben and his co knows the true amount collected )
If you don’t want to do that, no B&B and good bye.

When Louis mills was caught out walting for Donations.

Veterans minister aims for record-breaking Everest climb
The team of ex-special forces troops plan to use xenon gas to help them reach the summit and return home in just seven days.

Is this just a vanity project for Al Carns for Labour the Veterans Minister in charge of the Office for Veterans' Affairs

In the article this news comes from, found here - https://www.thetimes.com/uk/defence/article/ex-special-forces-team-aims-for-record-breaking-everest-climb
Al Carns for Labour goes on to praise charities for their dedication and hard work and the realisation that the Veterans Support Community heavily relies on these organisations. Very noble of him to say so. But as yet he has never addressed the fact that the Veterans Support Community and it's bloated 3000+ registered charities and God knows how many CiC's and companies, the space is in the main an uncontrolled and unregulated space that has £billions collectively. Giving the likes of Al Carns and his predecessor Johnny Mercer the perfect excuse for delivering very little in the way of support for Veterans, let alone solving and real life problems that Veterans face on a daily basis.
Why is that a problem? Well, the uncontrolled and unregulated space mentioned above although the charity commission is the supposed toothless regulator. These charities deal with complex needs in the mental health space in the UK. And in the most part this is done with the best intentions but usually by unqualified damaged Veterans themselves trying to solve a problem that can have dangerous and sometimes final consequences for the Veterans and beneficiaries they are supposed to help.
Surely, the Office For Veterans Affairs should be looking into getting this very important area of the
Veterans Support Community and charities at large operating safely and in a professional way. Instead of relying on charities, surely our Veterans deserve a Government backed and funded one stop shop for Veterans needs instead of relying on the excuse that there are thousands of charities that pick up that responsibility. It reflects very badly on the UK that this is how we as a Country treat those that have served. The general public are largely unaware as all they see is the yearly remembrance service and the poppy and they have done their bit. Probably, rightly so. Why should they care. What is clear, is the £billions that the veteran charity sector controls amongst themselves the majority of those funds will come from Veterans themselves and of course the grants etc that all go to the big 5 charities RBL, SSAFA, Help For Heroes, Combat Stress, Walking with the Wounded. Of which these all let Veterans fall through the Support gaps and are failed every year.
The Veterans Affairs Minister should be shoring these services up and making them work. For a Colonel in the Royal Marines Reserves I would say that should be his first and only job.

What do you think?

If you are leaving the Armed Forces or have left and you are looking for work, or a change of direction. It is well worth having a look at OP Ascend. An initiative setup by the actual Office for Veterans' Affairs (not this page) The service aims to assist and in many cases even fund retraining and qualifications for all industries. So that you can find a role that not only matches skills that you have from your time in service, but allows you to develop them in readiness for a fulfilling role in civvy street. .

Finally, the Army have given a statement regarding this tragic incident. Apparently, there is more to this and the unit that Gunner Jaysley Beck belonged to. Where there may have been more than one female serving soldier su***de within a very short space of time.

Fillyourboots - FYBUK have been leading the way with raising awareness and have been largely responsible for getting any kind of reaction from the chain of command. Please check their page out, where you will see there have been many people both serving and veteran alike sharing their own stories.

The Armed Forces as a whole has a long way you go. Let's hope the pressure is kept on them to fulfill these changes. Also, let's hope that any others that have lost their lives due to the kind of behaviour that Jaysley experienced get justice as well.

Starmer: I am ready and willing to put British troops in Ukraine:

Sir Keir Starmer has announced he is “ready and willing” to put British troops on the ground in Ukraine to enforce any peace deal.

In an exclusive article for The Telegraph, the Prime Minister said he had not taken the decision to consider putting British servicemen and women “in harm’s way” lightly.

It is the first time he has explicitly said he is considering deploying British peacekeepers to Ukraine, and comes ahead of a meeting with European leaders in Paris on Monday.

The emergency gathering was called by Emmanuel Macron, the French president, after it emerged that European leaders had not been invited to early Ukraine peace talks between the US and Russia, and senior members of Donald Trump’s administration signalled that US security support for Europe would be scaled back.

Sir Keir’s decision to speak out will put pressure on allies – especially a reluctant Germany – to publicly back the idea of a European peacekeeping force in Ukraine. The Prime Minister also suggested Britain could play a “unique role” as a bridge between Europe and the US in the Ukraine peace process.

The foreign ministers of Russia and the US will meet in Saudi Arabia on Monday to kick off talks over a peace agreement.

Ukraine has not been invited to the negotiating table and Sir Keir warned against cutting Kyiv out of the talks, likening it to the US decision to cut the Afghan government out of negotiations over the chaotic withdrawal from Afghanistan.

He wrote: “The UK is ready to play a leading role in accelerating work on security guarantees for Ukraine. This includes further support for Ukraine’s military – where the UK has already committed £3 billion a year until at least 2030.

“But it also means being ready and willing to contribute to security guarantees to Ukraine by putting our own troops on the ground if necessary. I do not say that lightly. I feel very deeply the responsibility that comes with potentially putting British servicemen and women in harm’s way.

“But any role in helping to guarantee Ukraine’s security is helping to guarantee the security of our continent and the security of this country. The end of this war, when it comes, cannot merely become a temporary pause before Putin attacks again.”

Since the Russian invasion of Ukraine in February 2022, UK prime ministers have refused to publicly consider sending British soldiers to the country.

But in recent weeks Sir Keir has opened the door to considering Mr Macron’s proposals for a Europe-led peacekeeping force in Ukraine.

The idea has been increasingly talked about privately in Europe after it became clear that Mr Trump would never sign off US troops playing that role, with discussions centring on how to make sure that Ukraine is never invaded again after any ceasefire.

A No 10 insider familiar with Sir Keir’s thinking said his decision to go public before the Paris meeting was in part a result of US statements at the Munich Security Conference last weekend, when US administration figures made it clear that Europe would have to play a greater role in its own defence.

The Prime Minister will join the leaders of France, Germany, Italy, Poland, Spain, the Netherlands, Denmark, the European Commission, the European Council and Nato in Paris.

Exactly what a European-led peacekeeping force in Ukraine would look like remains unclear. The Telegraph understands that one proposal to be discussed is for European soldiers to be deployed away from the front line that would be established in a peace agreement.

Ukrainians would be deployed at the newly established border, and soldiers from other European nations would be behind them.

But whether European allies would be willing to provide enough troops to make such a peacekeeping force effective remains to be seen. Some estimates have suggested that 100,000 soldiers would be needed.

In his Telegraph article, the Prime Minister wrote: “These crucial days ahead will determine the future security of our continent. As I will say in Paris, peace comes through strength. But the reverse is also true. Weakness leads to war.

“This is the moment for us all to step up – and the UK will do so, because it is the right thing to do for the values and freedoms we hold dear, and because it is fundamental to our own national security.”

Sir Keir is planning to discuss whatever agreements come out of the Paris talks with Mr Trump in Washington, where the two leaders are due to meet before the end of the month.

The issue is becoming complicated by UK wrangling over how fast and how far defence spending should increase in the coming years.

The Telegraph understands the Prime Minister is resisting private calls from military chiefs to go beyond the 2.5 per cent GDP defence spending target. Spending is currently at 2.3 per cent.

But the British soldier count has been falling. Last spring, the number of Army troops dropped below 73,000 for the first time since the Napoleonic era.

The Prime Minister also called for Ukraine to be at the negotiating table after Mr Trump went over Kyiv’s head last week with his 90-minute phone call with Vladimir Putin, the Russian president.

Marco Rubio, the US secretary of state, and Sergey Lavrov, Russia’s most senior foreign minister, will meet in Saudi Arabia to discuss a possible peace deal. Volodymyr Zelensky, the Ukrainian president said on Sunday he would “never accept any decisions between the United States and Russia about Ukraine”.

Mr Macron said he had spoken to Saudi’s Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman about ensuring Europeans are at the centre of the process to secure a “solid and lasting peace” in Ukraine.

Sir John Major, the former prime minister, accused Mr Trump of “cuddling up” to Putin and warned “tinpot” dictators would be emboldened if Russia was allowed to keep Ukrainian territory seized by force.

Sir Keir wrote: “We must be clear that peace cannot come at any cost. Ukraine must be at the table in these negotiations, because anything less would accept Putin’s position that Ukraine is not a real nation.

“President Zelensky and the Ukrainian people have shown the most extraordinary resilience and made such great sacrifices in the defence of their nation. We cannot have another situation like Afghanistan, where the US negotiated directly with the Taliban and cut out the Afghan government. I feel sure that president Trump will want to avoid this too.”

Meanwhile, The Telegraph can reveal that military chiefs demanded that Sir Keir gives the Armed Forces a “national arsenal” of futuristic weapons or risks war with Russia.

Senior Army sources confirmed that military chiefs used face-to-face meetings with him on Friday to justify what their forces needed to fight the next war and say that investment would promote the Government’s growth mission.
