Today is the first day of Mental Health Awareness Day 2024... are you ready?

To launch my many varied and exciting activities for this week, I am so excited to launch an amazing conversation that I recorded with my friend Mesi Balog for her Confidence Code Podcast.

The theme of the podcast is all about mental health and how we can build our own confidence. As always I am open about my personal experiences and try to share my perspectives in the hope of helping others.

'Get up or Give up' is a choice that we all have. It links in well with the theme for this years MHAW being Movement.

Please do give this a listen and follow Mesi and her journey (she is really making workplace wellbeing happen).

Can you spare me just the time it takes to boil a kettle to help with some feedback and research on my project 'Understanding the impact of Change'?

Thank you to all those who have completed this short questionnaire and for the insights that you have provided. It is great to see (as expected) so many different perspectives on the topic.

Aligned also to this it is great that a number of people have already reached out to me to join me to record episodes of the Matt Holman Talks Mental Health Podcast for a special series on the topic of change.

Whatever you can do to help me on this journey is gratefully appreciated. Even a like, comment, tag or share will help. Kindness is a choice, and small acts leave big impressions. ❤️

Do you use TikTok for personal pleasure and consumption? Have you ever come across the content of the Amazing Human Javeno Mclean? Last night I had the pleasure to sit and chat with Javeno for my Matt Holman Talks Mental Health Podcast. 💚

If you have never heard of Javeno, please take a listen to his inspiring and energising story. He has created his company C7 to provide fitness for everyone. He works with people of all disabilities, life limiting illnesses and those who are towards the end of their live. His love, compassion and empathy is contagious.

I have decided to write a book... It is a work in progress but will link the years of 2020ME (2023), 2020MORE (2024) and be completed for 2025(0) as a celebration of turning 50 in 2025.

I have been working hard over the past year on myself, taking notice of changes, focusing on my physical and mental health, and quite frankly its been a very challenging year.

On reflection of 2023 I have began to realise my concerns are now focusing on my age, the fear or turning 49 in March, and then the 12 month countdown to 31st March 2025.. and the BIG 50. I realise I am not the only one who will be feeling this way...

So I want to create something to help others (after all that's what I do right)... a book to help those who are going through significant changes in their lives, recognising the challenges and also speaking frankly and honestly about the journey. This is the book I am destined to write...

All I need for the moment is support... if you are experiencing a similar journey and would like to participate get in touch. If you know a publisher who might like to be involved I would love to chat.

To me a book is the next chapter in the work that I do to bring light to the realty of life, good and bad, easy and challenging. My company Simpila Mental Health is helping to improve literacy around wellbeing, my Matt Holman Talks Mental Healthh Podcast is bringing closer conversations of mental health and life challenges.

Thank you in advance for your support. I hope this will help more people who will be going through their life journey wondering 'what is this all about?' 💚

This episode is a great listen for any parents out there who are struggling with their own children. I know that I certainly took away a number of things from this episode.

Apologies as we lost connection in the middle for a minute (and I did some padding) before Debi rejoined (I think she was playing with my anxiety).

What better way to kick-off the new episodes of the Matt Holman Talks Mental Health Podcast than a chat with the Amazing Human Mark O'Brien as he prepares for his Guinness World Records attempt! 💚

Mark and I have known each other for many years through the Business Travel Industry. Like all experiences in life we found our way back together to record this episode following Mark's open social post at the end of July talking about changes to his life journey with the diagnosis of motor neurone disease (MND/ALS).

Autism is something that we can all learn more about. Everyone's journey is different. In the recent Chris Packham BBC Documentary - Inside Our Autistic Minds - he said a valuable quote:
