Earlier this year, we filmed the wedding of Emily & Gary at the beautiful St Giles House in Dorset. Emily & Gary are two of the loveliest people and their day was so special. There was a lot of laughter, and a few tears too. We loved filming at St Giles House - it has so much character and more importantly, so much natural light to work with. As the sun went down, it felt like a completely new venue as everything was lit with candle lights. The nightclub downstairs made the perfect setting to dance the night away…

As we begin to come out of our busiest filming period of the year, we have so many amazing weddings to edit and so many stories to tell. We love filming, but the magic really happens during the editing stage. This is where the film that lets you relive that special day is truly crafted.

We’re always trying to be intentional when composing our shots. Wedding days are fast-paced and as a videographer, it’s easy to get too caught up in the action, pointing a camera at everything without thinking HOW to capture it. When creating a wedding film, our aim is to tell the story of your day but also make you feel the emotion of it.

Before pointing the camera, we often slow down, think about how we will frame a shot, and how it will help tell the story. There’s so many factors at play and we’re always learning more as we go; symmetry, depth, negative space - the list goes on.

We loved telling the story of Donna & Ross’ wedding day. The ceremony took place in a small church in Brockenhurst and was followed by a reception at the beautiful . There was a classy vintage car (that got a bit held up by the cows en route), clay pigeon shooting and *a lot* of dancing. Especially loved the natural light that poured through the windows during bridal prep.

We have waited a long long time to film Amy & Calum’s wedding.

They first booked us back in 2018! Yesterday, the special day finally came around and it was absolutely worth the wait. We loved every minute.

It felt great to be back at the beautiful Deans Court in Wimborne on Saturday and we had the best time filming Verity & Justyn’s amazing wedding day. It’s been so fun getting to know these two and being a part of their big day. It was also great to meet and work with the lovely Tom & Lizzie for the first time - hope to see you guys again soon!
