A pleasure to produce this short film, about the beautiful Gibbets Close Hill, for the lovely team at Wychwood Forest Trust !

Please give it a watch (click the link in their original post below) and please consider giving them some support!

They are doing noble and important work.

We loved working with Adam from Blackmore-Heal Media on a new short film about Gibbets Close Hill. Despite grey clouds overhead and the occasional drizzle of rain, Adam's patience and excellent camera work has really captured what a beautiful place Gibbets is, and its potential to become a thriving nature reserve of the future. If you haven't seen the film yet, you can catch it on our website https://bit.ly/Gibbets-film. It includes some fab drone footage of Gibbets from the air. Thanks Adam!

Did you know the oldest surviving surgical theatre in Europe is in an attic right next to the tallest building in Britain, the Shard. A startling juxtaposition of old and new.

Now you can experience what The Old Operating Theatre has to offer from the comfort of your home, via my latest (Matterport) virtual tour.

We have lived in the long shadow of that unwielding courage all these 79 years.

It had long reigned in the theatres of war that ravaged and orphaned mainland Europe, but the tide, one that forged an assault of Allied naval, air and land forces up the beaches of Normandy, turned on this day 1944.
We took back the power.
Our fathers and our grandfathers and those old men who sat quietly in the corners of our birthday parties, weddings, christenings; harrowed but enobled by the stories they bear.

But on this day, this D-Day, it was that piercing beam of light through an unending bank of cloud.
It was bravery unmatched.
It will be recreated in prose and in cinema for time immemorial, but it will never meet the horror and the heroism to which the boots on that wet sand bore witness, and to which they continued to bear witness every night as they lay their heads to sleep.

To the glorious dead. And the incandescent spirit of the living.

We will never see their like again.

I’ve been busy! Here’s another exciting Virtual Tour which I am thrilled to release, this time for Vickers MG Collection & Research Association. Creating a digital twin of their collection will showcase it to potential visitors, supporters, academics, and enthusiasts. With the integration of information tags, you can highlight specific objects within the collection by utilising text, hyperlinks, images, 3d objects and video. A great overlay on top of the tour itself, especially for museums and curated spaces with artefacts.

If you or someone you know is interested in creating a virtual tour for your museum, business, estate agency, heritage site, etc, then please get in touch.

In July of last year, I was asked to help create content for the Vickers Machine Gun Collection & Research Association, for a 16-gun live fire demonstration.
One standout piece of output is this 360° video captured from in front of the firing line, giving a unique perspective - certainly from a place you don't want to be physically standing!
This was done by my fellow camera operator on the day, Alec Seaman, using his Insta 360 on a mini tripod.

Very cool, don’t you agree?! Such a privilege to be allowed to be around these iconic pieces of history.

Something a bit different from my usual work, this time….high-end couture fashion!
Working with the fantastic Rachel Louise Brown to produce content for Eponine London's SS23 Collection.
My contribution is the short video for each dress (accompanying the photos) - there will also be a behind-the-scenes short film coming soon.

A really fun project to be part of!

Introducing the SS23 collection: "An Ode To Gainsborough". Featuring a palette evocative of a summer garden and showcasing a medley of joyous textiles, SS23 is an uplifting riot of colour and texture.

As the mist descended on a frosty Windsor, I took to the Great Park to see if I could capture some of my favorite chaps looking theatrical through the haze.
Mission accomplished - but pretty technically challenging to achieve!

Lots of fun (and very cold)…which is your favourite?

Ps. Spot the two rubbing their horns together, seemingly scratching a hard-to-reach itch!

It's been a long and exciting journey documenting Freddy’s tenure as artist-in-residence during the Queen's Platinum Jubilee - and it has now come full circle.

Below is our final video of the series, and it's a brilliant insight into how he brings his paintings to life, from beginning to end and all the way to his sold-out London exhibition.
For me, it was great to see the fruits of all of our hard work throughout the spring and summer, gathering footage both for reference purposes, and for use in this mini-documentary detailing Freddy's process.

It's been a pleasure, and I hope you all enjoy the film.

It was wonderful to work on this film with Freddy Paske. I was able to follow the full journey, with many trips to his studio and to the foundry, seeing it all the way through to the completed sculpture.
It was truly fascinating to understand the creative and technical process it takes to create these incredible and lasting pieces of art.
Thanks for taking me along for the ride, Freddy, very much looking forward to celebrating your success at the upcoming exhibition!

Freddy discusses his process and inspiration behind his bronzes. More information at www.freddypaske.com.

We remember because it would be impossible.
Ungrateful.
Inconceivable.
To forget.

We have a proud and harrowing legacy of service and sacrifice across this Commonwealth of nations, and across the world.
And within my own family.
We are the husbands, wives, sons and daughters, grandchildren and great-grandchildren of heroes of men. And women.

Remembrance is neither big nor small, it’s neither pageant nor pensiveness.
It’s a simple refrain - keep the embers of memory alive so that the loss goes unforgotten, and so that it may never be repeated.

This is what Remembrance looks like at the incredible Menin Gate.

For those who went before, those who endured, and those who yet remain.

WE WILL REMEMBER THEM.

The citizens of Ypres wanted to express their gratitude towards those who had given their lives for Belgium's freedom, hence, every evening at 20:00, buglers...

To uphold a little tradition we started when The Duke of Edinburgh died, today we took to the quiet refuge of the Copper Horse hill in Windsor to bid a fond farewell to our beloved HM The Queen, and to mark an unforgettable moment in history.

As the Royal hearse bore her small but mighty body, encased in a grand casket hewn of English Oak, flanked by loyal and determined members of her Armed Forces, the sun poured down on The Long Walk. A final ‘so long’ from a town she so loved.
We were moved beyond words, and will treasure this memento of the time we bowed our heads in honour of a phenomenal human being, a beacon of a time long gone by, in a grand green space that will be enchanted by her unique and majestic presence forever.

Words by Lynn, photo by Adam.

To the lady who never asked for this birthright, but who has spent every day of the past 70 years working tirelessly to earn it, to champion philanthropy and charity and faith - rest in the most glorious peace, Your Majesty.

So much of what she did is misunderstood and maligned - no she did not work at the coal face every day, yes she was enormously materially privileged. But how many of us can say that our lives truly aren’t our own, that everything is planned out for us to the minute for 18 of our 24 hours, dedicated to being at the service of not just our families, but of an entire nation…and for 70 consecutive years without retirement, day in, day out. And at age 96. Her work may not feel like work to many, but they should think again.

She was extraordinary because, at the heart of it all, she was also just a wife and a mum and a granny at the head of her own family - but there’s a whole world out there that’s utterly beguiled by her and will mourn this enormous loss for years to come.

Our moral touchstone, our beacon of fortitude, one of the last remaining examples of the steadfastness of her incredible generation.
Still the little girl dancing in disguise on the streets of London amongst the VE-Day revellers.
We will never see her like again.

God Save The Queen….and how we will miss you 💔

This weekend, the Royal Hospital Chelsea played host to the annual Longines Global Champions Tour - Grand Prix showjumping at its finest and in a spectacular setting!
This year I am not there filming and am working behind the scenes on content, but last year I was there and able to witness (and film!) it in all its glory.
I’ve put together a highlights film of the weekend’s events - full of colour, some incredibly high jumps, and a lot of sunshine and merriment….and champagne!

A highlight of the year’s calendar, for me ⭐️

I recently attended a demonstration shoot conducted by the Vickers MG Collection & Research Association. The day was to highlight the history, capability, and methods used, of the Mk.1 Vickers Machine Gun. This film serves as a short montage of the demonstration.

This water-cooled, .303 calibre, machine gun first began service as the ‘Mk. I’ from the 26th November 1912. This was the service pattern gun that remained largely unchanged for its entire service life. It was, by far, the largest Mark produced and the majority of parts in other Marks came from it. Use extensively by British and Commonwealth Armies throughout both World Wars and beyond, not leaving active service till 1968.

I am immensely proud to be working on this project, this important piece of history (especially for my former regiment). We can't wait to finish bringing it to life, to preserve it forever, and for you all to see it - please support if you are able.

July 20th 2022 marks the 40th anniversary of the day when the Queen’s own guard was attacked in broad daylight, a stone’s throw from Buckingham Palace.
Just after 10.30am on 20th July 1982, the IRA bombed the Queen's Guard. This act of terrorism took place in Hyde Park, London, but it shocked the world. The mounted guard of 15 Household Cavalrymen and their horses was on its way to change the guard near Buckingham Palace when a remote controlled device was initiated, blasting nails and shrapnel into them. Four men and seven horses were killed, and many more injured.
Over the last few months, in the run up to the 40th anniversary of the bombing, we’ve been capturing this story on camera. But we need your support to finish the film and commemorate this extraordinary event the way it deserves.
Please visit our Crowdfunder page to find out more: https://crowdfunder.co.uk/p/hydeparkbombing
