Well, it’s done.

2 years in the making and precursor to my planned YouTube channel where I will unmask the techniques I use to unbake the cakes that are popular songs.

All these tracks were selected for their musical and inspirational content, analysed carefully and then split apart, after which I replayed all instruments and painstakingly rebuilt them either as close to the originals or with slight variations where I felt artistically appropriate, then mixed in my Soundtopia Studios studio.

They were then mastered by the exceptional Chris Pavey of CPM in the UK to make them release-ready.

This is about the technical approach but I also hope they can be enjoyed and you like and share!

Over the past few weeks we've been really busy at the studio preparing for the first part of the revamp, full mastering-level acoustic treatments have been installed and while we work from a temporary desk setup, we eagerly await the delivery of the full console setup.
Following installation of the new desk we will be able to offer digital, hybrid and analogue mixing & mastering! Here's a few snaps taken during installation of the acoustic panels, but we'll save the final pictures for after it's all finished!

We've been working hard over the past few months, 32 new names signed for mixing and mastering services, in talks with another 4 and a new studio is on the way! Just taken delivery today of the acoustic treatments ready for the strip-out and revamp to begin! Exciting times!
