It's 2 years today that we had to say goodbye to the best boy Merlin 🥺 forever with us in our hearts and memories. I just want to give a massive thank you to this extremely talented lady. This cushion landed with me last Saturday and I'll admit I blubbed for hours because it is just so perfect! Hand drawn, hand watercoloured and then printed. It's just stunning! Yes we do requests! This one came through to do a composite with an F4 Phantom. Although originally an American fighter jet, the RAF bought a batch of them in the '60's. A little bit of research and I found that they became the F4J Phantom due to some modifications. So, the inspiration came to do it with a nod to 74sqn, also known as the 'Flying Tigers'. This is a composite of 6 different photos, I very much enjoyed the challenge, and you'll find this on my website should you want to purchase a print

Hi all, I hope you are all well! It's been a while again, but this is my newest. (No AI). This is inspired by a pilot from New Zealand called Ray Hanna, who came to the UK in 1949 and joined the RAF. He has such an interesting history, flying many aircraft, but is very well known for his acrobatic abilities. This composite is inspired by the Winston Bridge fly under, and also his time with mighty Red Arrows. I hope you like 🙂

Just editing to add, just so I don't have to keep repeating myself, I am fully aware that this Lancaster PA474, was not used in operation chastise. This is not the point of this picture! You wouldn't call out BBMF for using this Lancaster in its 80th anniversary of the dambuster bombings would you? No. Because there are only 2 flying lancs in the world. There are no photos of the Lancaster used in chastise that I could use other than airfix models to generate this picture. I do appreciate the feedback but please, take it for what is is, digital art and the RAF Scampton ongoing news story. Trying to explain to people what Merlin Digital can actually do with single or multiple photos, is proving a bit difficult! Composites (What are they?), photo editing and manipulation. Good Grief! 🤣So I've put together a series of animations. A bit like they do with eyebrows and lashes - befores and afters, You know the drill...

"This is Scorpio"
Taking the astronomical and astrological elements of the Scorpio star sign - the topaz gems, the planets and the water, adding the scorpio constellation and then all combined into one piece of digital artwork.
I've put some of the photos used in this in the comments, so you can see how photos can be used and changed....

So chuffed to have been able to support Tiffin & Co Bakehouse in their adventures at Meadowhall Sheffield by providing the artwork for their large sign at their counter! Tiffin provided the photos and Merlin Digital UK edited them into one image suitable for a large format print.
