The last couple of years has put a lot of things in perspective for me. Life in a pandemic has given us all an opportunity to re-evaluate what’s important, what isn’t, and how our choices and actions can help to have a positive impact on the world.

That’s exactly why I started Roar Social.

Because, in a world that increasingly appears to be falling apart, I decided I wanted to use my skillset for a real purpose – to influence changes for the better of society, humanity, and the planet.

But how can a York-based social media agency help do all that?

By working with businesses that are looking to do more than just sell something. By giving a voice to those speaking for sustainability and positive change, on any scale.

The ultimate goal for Roar Social is to provide Social Media Management for companies that work in sight of a sustainable, connected planet.

Social media, to us, is all about the story.

Who you are. What your customers need. And how we are going to bring them on this journey.

After raising subscription prices, reports are stating that the new perk might be dropping soon 👀

From screenshots grabbed by users, it seems like there'll be a 30 minute time limit on edits - so you won't be able to amend any old tweets.

Have you noticed something different about your Facebook homepage? 👀

In July, Meta introduced ‘Feeds’ to the app – which allow you to find the most recent posts from your friends, favourites, pages, and groups.

Sort of like the Instagram feed options, you can now choose what you see- but are they over complicating it? 🤔

The Home feed is focused on showing you content from your friends, alongside recommendations from Facebook, which the algorithm will rank from most to least valuable.

In a move that’ll surprise no one, this update includes an emphasis on Reels. You can now create one from the Facebook homepage. 💡

Instagram has taken 'BeReal' literally, by adding pretty much the exact feature same to their platform 👀

Is anyone even surprised by this?!

Instagram is taking on new competitor, BeReal, with their own version of a dual camera photo op.

The new Dual feature, which can be found on stories, lets you show your view and reaction at the same time. It’s exactly like BeReal, but with one key difference – it’s not time sensitive.

Guess it’s just a matter of time before that feature’s added, too! 😉

Thanks to pressure from the Kardashians, amongst other celebs, the full screen Instagram feed has been scrapped. 🤯

This could mean that IG are finally bowing to pressure from their users in terms or what they do or don’t like – but it could also just be a minor setback for their long-term vision. 👀

Just Eat’s latest campaign features an original song sung by Katy Perry – attempting to replicate the success of their Snoop Dog ‘Did somebody say Just Eat’ campaign.

They’ve also previously partnered with Kim Kardashian – which also went viral. Adding these prominent figures into their campaigns is a sure-fire way for them to gain traction online, ensuring that they’re the takeaway delivery service that’ll be at the forefront of people’s minds.

It seems like Just Eat has nailed the formula for a viral ad, so it’ll be interesting to see what they do next 🧐

We’ve all seen Duolingo on our FYPs – but why does their content work so well? 🧐

More and more frequently, we’re seeing brands stepping outside of what would be considered ‘appropriate’ behaviour for them on social medias – and no where is this clearer than on TikTok.

Whether it’s hopping on trends, creating their own, or commenting on other influencer’s posts, brands are more visible than ever. And really, isn’t that with this is about? Crazy content might not link to their product, but it’ll definitely make you remember them.
