AT LAST SOMEWHERE TO SCREEN YOUR FILM!!
Are you an independent film-maker looking for a cinema for a screening?
We know its very difficult, and most cinemas either don't take independent films at all, or they set their hire prices at a forbidding level.
We are opening a small cinema that is devoted entirely to independent films. And our rate is such that you can take roughly double what you pay us, even if you only charge £8 per ticket (prices are up to you).
The cinema will be in FOLKSTONE, in Kent, and will seat around 50. It's small but its a start. We hope it will become a centre for first-showings, and even longer seasons oF independent films. We are especially interested in films that are entirely original, so dont be shy, book a slot for your film.
We have an open door policy to film-makers. We are not here to judge you. We will try to fit in as many as we can.
We are taking provisional bookings now for April onwards. Contact us now with date proposals, and a brief description of your film, and a little bit about yourself. Our rate is only £200 per screening, and no payment is necessary at this stage.
We have two slots per day, please let us know if you prefer afternoon or evening, 3pm, or 7.30pm.

Folkstone is 53 mins from London by train, and the cinema is 5 mins from the station. The last train is at 11pm. And the station is 997 meters from the cinema.
Eventually we hope to have larger cinemas where independent films can have longer runs and make a profit.
Gaumont-British was once one of the largest cinema chains in Britain, and had the biggest cinema, the 4000 seater Gaumont, in Kilburn. London.
