Great Western Railway has warned passengers of "significant delays".
The problem has been worsened by damage to Westbury station - where part of the roof has blown off onto the tracks.

Anybody unable to travel today can use their ticket until Monday, or can claim a full refund.

🚌 Many FirstBus & Stagecoach services are cancelled.
🌉 Both Severn Bridges are closed to all traffic
🚂 There are closures affecting some GWR trains & CrossCountry services.
✈️ Flights in and out of Bristol Airport are delayed, diverted or cancelled.
🌳 Many roads are blocked due to fallen trees, including Kingsweston Road in Bristol & the A38 between Bridgwater and Minehead.
⚡️ The National Grid is reporting outages across Somerset, Bristol & Wiltshire - more than 8,000 people are impacted.

There are a number of trees down in Burnham-on-Sea - and the National Grid says around 4,684 have lost power in Somerset.
