Grafter are proud to present the very exclusive acoustic version video performance of Ali MacQueen music latest track 'Loretto'.
Notes from the editor:
'This laid back track is perfect for the summer days ahead. A classic folk daydream washed in charming hooks and paired with the simplicity of an acoustic guitar and continuous bassline. MacQueen transports the listener to Britain's version of wandering through the American Midwest.
Macqueen is originally from a small market town in Bedfordshire, with him now residing in East London. Having made a name for himself within the Luton scene, it was sadly cut short from recovery with a severe brain operation. Having written for Record Collector mag, it gave reflection and time to focus on his own work. And this song provides a sense of power with his vocals, looking out onto the world around you with reflection.
A classic Brit pop feeling in rhythm, the brilliance in how natural and rustic the tune is. There's nothing fancy and that's how indie and folk should be. There's a sense of unconventionality in how natural the song comes across. The song is sewn in passions un-lost and driven from experience. And it's his vocals that keep floating in throughout the tune that provide a story in the song.
This very exclusive video we're presenting to you is the acoustic version of this brilliant tune. Whether you're listening to this for the first time or having it on repeat, make sure you share Loretto!'

An absolute pleasure to speak with Abby Athena, someone who is wise beyond her years and at such a young age. Based in West Colorado she uses tenderness to capture the socio-economic divisions she finds, the grittiness and beauty in that around her.
We discussed the class division and subject matter of that in America, the reaction to Covid, as well as being a self-starting photographer and what photography means to her. There are so many parallels we were able to understand between our two countries that we wouldn't have understood before our chat.
An absolute pleasure and highly reccommend watching because Abby is someone who will go far in her career.
