30% physical, 70% mental - Ben Hogan ⛳️
Despite his heavy influences on the way we perceive the golf swing today, it’s interesting to hear how Hogan still saw the game of golf as largely mental! 🧐
Nicklaus went even further, quoting that “The game of golf is 90% mental and 10% physical.” 💬
How would you describe golf?
___% mental, ___% physical
The awesome swing on Cameron Young who has been in contention this week at Rivera! 🙌
You’ll notice Young’s impeccable rhythm and power, helping lead strokes gained off the tee this week! I’m sure we’ll see more of this man in the future! 🏆
Nice breakdown of vintage Anthony Kim! Some great positions here! 🙌
It’s always interesting to note how AK gripped now the shaft throughout the bag!
Perhaps this is something more amateurs could do to gain more control and accuracy! 🤔
Rory’s split handed drill! 🙌
This is Rory’s favourite drill! It allows him to feel a couple of things:
◾️ His arms get into a good position at the top of the swing (particularly with the right arm)
◾️The right arm is in front of him in the downswing. Rory’s hand path often gets too far inside caused by a trailing right arm.
Here’s a couple of pointers if you want to give this drill a try!:
◽️Lead hand on top of grip and trail hand on bottom of grip
▫️Take club to the top of the backswing then down into delivery
▫️Feel the proper position for both arms!
In honour of becoming the leading tennis major winner, let’s take a closer looks Rafa Nadal’s golf swing! 🎾⛳️
Rafa started playing when he was 18 and is now a scratch golfer. It’s awesome to see how much his drive resembles a tennis swing! 🙌
Play the shot you know you can hit, not the shot you think you should hit! 🧘♀️
Good to hear Rory talk us through some of his course management philosophies, applying this concept might save you a few shots! 📈

We’re used to seeing Tiger flush it but it’s always interesting to watch his errant shots to show that he is human after all! 😅
It looks like Tiger gets stuck on the inside here, perhaps not turning as well as he used to due to injury! (This swing is from 2009) Let me know your thoughts below! 👇
@thesergiogarcia explains his transition feels! 🏌️♂️
A tip Sergio gives to amateurs is to feel like they pull down from this top of their swing. This is great feel for slicers who turn quickly and get steep on the ball! ⏬
However it’s important to note that this feel won’t work for everyone as every player sequences the downswing differently! 🙌

2007 Ernie Els 😍 Always lots to learn watching Ernie’s swing from his rhythm to stability! What is your favourite part of Ernie’s action? 🙌
Simple but very effective drill from @brysondechambeau to help control low point! 🎯
Poor low point control is one of the leading causes of poor ball striking for amateurs, leading to many dropped shots particularly into and around the greens! ⛳️
The bunker will provide instant feedback and force you to hit in front of the line! 👊
An interesting feel here from Bryson 🤔‘Pushing’ through the ball could be a great sensation to try for anyone struggling with contact! 🏌️♂️
Jason day has consistently ranked highly in bunker statistics and is frequently labelled one of the best bunker players on tour! 🏌️♂️🏖
You’ll see how well he plays this short sided shot here, maintaining his speed and achieving the correct contact to land in his desired spot to get the ball close! Day is always a great player to copy out of the sand!
