Goodbye Everyday Magazine ♥️ You have been my home.
I was never going to be able to say everything I wanted to say, or even express fully what is in my heart, when it comes to the end of the magazine. All I can say is thank you. Setting up the Everyday has been the best thing I have ever done. The door isn’t fully closed, it’s just a goodbye for now. Stick around ♥️ I am always available to message over at @jessjaneblack.
Thank you to the team who made the magazine what it is. I don’t have the words to say how grateful I am for you all. @adwoa_ob @filosbruno @emma.j.doyle @erinllister @foxesaremagicians @esther_bancroft @thetruemanshoww @halimah @a_poet_named_marz @isyoushore @_hazpacker @isabella_packer @shan_victoria @phoebetrain @alicepoole__ @senfa_copper @vonalina_cake @sunomsimon
I have to give the biggest ever shout out to @kerry_689. The Everyday would have crumbled without your talent, your passion, your spirit; not to mention the HOURS you put in. I cannot wait to celebrate your birthday in style with you later.
And, finally, thank you to the writers. Sometimes I used to just sit on the website and scroll through the pages and this sense of awe would come over me. Your work always inspired me. Your voice always made my world a brighter place.
This mag went from a baby idea from someone in a bad space, to a place of joy and community and creativity. We have interviewed artists I could only ever have imagined talking to, partners with venues and festivals I used to dream of going to at uni, worked alongside massive giants like OpenTable and held our own, we’ve done sell out club nights, talks, charity fundraisers, merch drops. We’ve had nearly half a million readers since we first set up… And now we are 700 writers strong. 700 writers who I have had the time of my life talking to; hearing about their new jobs, and the new paths they went down - all because they stumbled across a little place on the internet called The Everyday.
Morning Routine Merch DROP. Available to buy WEDNESDAY AM 💥(Or Tuesday if you’re a patron). Many months, chats and designs later… Fashion Editor, @SuNom, is deliveringgg. The Everyday Mag is about sparking joy in the day to day; it’s not about transforming your life or doing mad crazy things all the time - it’s about finding beauty in the small moments and the simplest things. We’ve worked with Everpress on this, and we’ll post the link here on the story Wednesday morning. Patrons, you’ll get a link on Tuesday. This will be the last drop we do in a while (updates coming) so if you’ve been waiting on getting some mag merch, this is the time to do it. We hope you love it. We’ll be rocking ours all summer x

You know what to do
Reading these was honestly a moment I will never forget - thank you ✨
Reading these was honestly a moment I will never forget - thank you ✨
You might remember I asked the magazine community to get in touch if they had any words for a video.
Well, this is it.
I wish I didn't have to do this over social media. I wish I could sit across from every single person who really cares about the magazine and buy them a drink and just say this - thank you.
When I started this I knew how it felt to not have a platform but, more than that really, to have lost the person I used to be. The person who would go to fun events and write articles she loved and used to feel creative, who used to feel like she had more energy.
I didn't really know what would work but I decided to pile some time back into writing - and found that the creative 'me', although a bit older, was still there.
I hoped it would help others but you never really know if your experiences and what helps you will work for others.
Creating this magazine, finding friends, reading incredible pieces of work, it's been incredible. I do have moments where I think "AHHH am I good enough? I can't do this" etc etc. Quite a few really.
So this was a life changing moment for me.
If I ever find myself answering the question about a moment in my life I was most proud of myself, I would say reading those testimonials.
It was so powerful realising that the magazine *actually* does help people, that people do relate. It cemented, more than anything, the power of creativity - and creativity for creativity's sake.
The power of de-commercialised creativity is just mind blowing. It's creating without a brief and with freedom and pouring your soul into something. It can help us live life a bit more simply.
If you've made your way through this whole ramble - congrats.
Thanks for giving me a moment and thanks for giving the magazine a moment.
I am so proud of this beautiful community of people.
So when I say this last thing, just pretend I really am just sat across you in a bar, or a cafe,
