When somebody asks where I spend all my money 🫣😅💗💗
Here’s the corrected version:
“Last day of the birthday month challenge, done and dusted! ✅ Jessy and I ran a total of 204.55km in 29 days, exploring our surroundings. We enjoyed everything from amazing views to muddy paths; it was really worth it. It took us 23h 55min 21sec to complete our goal, but the memories will last a lifetime. 💪🌍 Comparing distances between famous locations, we’ve traveled the equivalent of London to Brighton, Paris to Brussels, Rome to Naples, or São Paulo to Campinas! Thank you to everyone who cheered us on this journey – your support was appreciated! 💗 #BirthdayMonthChallenge #FitAndFabulous #JessyAndMe”
Day 28 - As tomorrow marks the end of my birthday month challenge, I can’t help but reflect on the journey. This year, it was 6km every day, to test my endurance and commitment. Last year, it was 5km daily, and I wanted to top that up. Previous years’ challenges included giving up chocolate from February till Easter (toughest one yet! 😅), committing to intermittent fasting for a year (still going strong!), and others. Each challenge brings its own lessons, but one thing they all have in common is that the sense of accomplishment feels like a superpower 💪🏼🦸🏻♀️ #BirthdayMonthTradition #GrowthMindset #BringOnTheNextOne 🚀🎯
Day 27 - Every day, I pick a topic to think about during my runs, and today, I was wondering what it means to be present in the present moment. This is something that doesn’t come easy to me, as I am always working towards something in the future. Sometimes, it feels like tomorrow is more important than today, but I know they are equally important. So, I guess the secret lies in finding balance. This awareness helps with focus, planning, and executing tasks in their allocated time, or it can become overwhelming. Thanks to this understanding, although it is still a work in progress, I am getting better at focusing on one day at a time. 😁😅

Day 22, Birthday Month Challenge. Today was one of those days where every excuse in the book tried to convince me to skip my run. From a hectic workday to parent-teacher meetings, exhaustion was knocking at my door. But I laced up my shoes and did it anyway 😅 It’s days like today that remind me why consistency is key. Even when it feels tough, sticking to the routine pays off. I’ve learned that when I push through and do it at the allocated time, it’s much easier than trying to fit it in later #BirthdayMonthChallenge #ConsistencyIsKey #NoExcuses #KeepPushing
Day 20 of the birthday month challenge brings a sense of accomplishment. With only 9 days left, the journey of running 6km daily has been transformative both physically and mentally. Each day, lacing up the running shoes became a ritual of self-discipline and focus.
The beauty of the challenge lies not only in the physical benefits but also in the mental clarity and sense of achievement gained with each passing day. It’s a reminder that with commitment and consistency, goals can be achieved.
With only 9 days left, there’s a bittersweet anticipation of crossing the finish line, knowing that the journey has been as rewarding as the destination.

Day 12 of my Birthday Month Challenge, and I want to reflect on gratitude as I appreciate our strong legs that carry us forward, the beautiful paths that inspire us, and the supportive community that cheers us on. With each step, I’m cultivating a heart full of appreciation for the gift of movement and the privilege to pursue our goals. Gratitude turns every run into a celebration. #gratitude #runderful
Day 11 - Want to improve your running routine? Here are three secrets to make any running challenge more fun:
✅ Switch Up Your Route: Keep things interesting by exploring new paths and adjusting your pace. Adding variety to your runs will keep you motivated and engaged.
✅ Find a Running Buddy: Connect with other runners for encouragement and fellowship. Sharing your progress and celebrating achievements together will keep you motivated and accountable.
✅ Take Time to Recover: Don’t underestimate the power of rest and recovery in your running journey. Plan to allow your body to heal and rebuild. Whether it’s through gentle stretching, foam rolling, or simply taking a day off, prioritising recovery will help prevent burnout and keep you feeling strong for the long run.

Day 10 of the Birthday Month Challenge: Who knew birthday candles could be so motivating? 😂
✅ Running every day is the perfect excuse to avoid deciding what to wear for the day.
✅ Early morning runs offer stunning views and a peaceful atmosphere. It’s like a gift from Mother Nature herself.
✅ Rewarding yourself with a post-run treat is totally justified. After all I earned it! 🍰🫣

🏃♀️ 7 days into my February challenge: 6km daily! 🎉Some days, it’s a breeze, other days, a bit tougher, but I’m committed!
Some mornings can be a bit harder, but I’ve learned to push through, and I know that once I’m out the excitement outweighs fatigue; every step brings clarity.
Consistency is key in forming new habits. Once they stick, they’re like second nature. We all have our routines—good or bad, they shape our days.
Ever catch yourself on autopilot? From our wake-up rituals to how we buckle up in the car, habits define us. It’s about being aware. We can tweak our routines, ‘install’ good habits, and ‘uninstall’ the not-so-great ones. It’s all in the mindset! 💪

Today, Magnus joined Jessy and me for the run. It was nice to capture some pictures and videos to document the 3rd day of my birthday challenge 💗. Later today, I also have Parkrun for another 5km, and since I wasn’t sure how I would manage the extra 1km, I decided to go for the whole 6km earlier and the usual 5km later. My personal challenge shouldn’t interfere with the other things I do; instead, I had to find time to fit it in with everything else. It wouldn’t be called a challenge if it wasn’t challenging, right? 😅
This is the second day of my birthday challenge to run 6km everyday of February and here’s my accountability video.
I could just run quietly instead of sharing on social media right?
Sure thing, but by making some noise and letting everybody know it will help me stay on track meaning that if I don’t keep up, I’ll feel like I’m letting everybody down and not just myself 😁

Today, I started my birthday challenge, aiming to run 6km every day for the entire month of February. Since my days are usually busy, I’ll do it early in the morning to be back in time to take the boys to school. Every year I come up with a new personal challenge for a few reasons. First, because it is fun, but also because I like pushing myself to accomplish goals. Second, because there was a time when I didn’t think I could do this, and I was a bit jealous of the runners that I often saw passing by. But I didn’t like running, and I wanted to like it, so I had never tried to run more than a short distance without stopping when I felt tired, which happened very quickly. So, I never did it. But then in 2016, I survived two heart attacks caused by a weird condition called SCAD that I didn’t know I had and knew nothing about. To say that this has changed my life is an understatement. I went through a bumpy rollercoaster of recovery, it took three years for me to start to feel like myself again. So, then I decided to live my life more intentionally, and becoming a runner was one of my goals. Almost losing my life made me realize the value of seizing a second chance. I’ll continue the story tomorrow, adding a bit more each day. Stick around if you want to know what happened next and what’s lining up ahead.
Would you like to join me on the birthday challenge? When is your birthday? 😁
