EXCITING NEWS:
Music Publisher Eschenbach Editions is delighted and honoured to announce that James Douglas Composer (www.jamesdouglas-composer.com) has been included in a new and ground-breaking Virtual Museum which is being organised and established by the charity DeafScotland. This enormous and ambitious project has sought to provide meaningful, useful information across culture, heritage and health/well-being in a fully accessible way. James’ lost his hearing in 1990 and since then, despite the huge challenges involved in learning to lip-read and to deal with every day events, he has continued to compose and perform music throughout the UK and now has 17 CDs and 12 digital releases to his credit.
James is bowled over to be included in the Virtual Museum and has been commissioned to provide a 14 minute video interview to be included in his entry, which was recorded by Stephen Douglas. The video also details James’ life and career to date, and gives hope and advice for others in a similar situation. As well as the film, an excerpt of a DVD featuring James’ music and his wife Helen’s photographs has also been made available and 4 photographs have been chosen to depict his wide and varied career.
