Mutiny On The Bay is a collection of live recordings from various performances between 1982 and 1986 by the US hardcore punks Dead Kennedys.

The tracks Police Truck, Holiday In Cambodia, Forward To Death, I Am The Owl and Riot were recorded at the Elite Club, San Francisco, on March 20, 1982.

Hellnation, California Über Alles, Too Drunk To F**k and This Could Be Anywhere were recorded at The Stone, San Francisco, on February 16, 1986.

Moon Over Marin, M.T.V. − Get Off The Air and Goons Of Hazard were also recorded at The Stone the following day.

Kill the Poor was recorded on February 21, 1986, at Freeborn Hall in Davis, California. The show is notable in that it was the final performance of the Dead Kennedys.

'Test pressings', often known as white label pressings, are copies produced from the masters by the pressing plants in tiny quantities of between ten and thirty copies. These test discs are then sent to the artists and record companies for approval before the main manufacturing is commenced.

These discs are very rare and much sought after by collectors as these are the working copies intended for the artists and label executives to check that the vinyl mastering process is true to the master tapes. The discs were not created for retail sale as part of a manufacturing run – they are genuine test pressings used at work in the industry.

Released in 1960, ‘Sketches of Spain’ is a stunning collaboration between jazz trumpeter Miles Davis and arranger Gil Evans. Inspired by a flamenco performance and the music of Spain, the album blends jazz with classical and folk traditions, resulting in a unique fusion known as third stream.

The centrepiece is an arrangement of the adagio movement from Joaquín Rodrigo’s ‘Concierto de Aranjuez’, transformed into a lush, symphonic jazz landscape. With its haunting melodies and innovative orchestration, the album captures a deep emotional intensity. Davis’ flugelhorn and trumpet playing, paired with Evans’ intricate arrangements, created a timeless work that remains one of the most remarkable intersections of jazz and classical music.

Upon release, it was hailed as a masterpiece by critics, with DownBeat calling it one of the most important works of the 20th century. Though some, like composer Rodrigo himself, were less impressed, many, including Bill Mathieu, praised it for its intellectual depth and emotional passion. Today, ‘Sketches of Spain’ is regarded as one of Davis’ finest albums, influencing generations of musicians and securing its place among the greatest jazz recordings ever made.
