🔥 BONFIRE NIGHT 🔥

Thames Valley Police want everyone who participates in Bonfire night to have a good time but ensure you stay safe and do not risk harm to yourself or others.
FIREWORKS SHOULD NEVER BE USED AS MISSILES AND THROWN AT PEOPLE, ANIMALS OR VEHICLES! ‼️

Are you familiar with the laws around fireworks? 🎆

1️⃣ It is illegal to sell fireworks to under 18s. 👶
2️⃣ It is illegal for a person under 18 to possess an adult firework in a public place. This excludes sparklers, caps, cracker snaps, novelty matches, party poppers, serpents and throw downs.
3️⃣ Please remember that fireworks can legally be set off between 7am and 11pm, and on Bonfire Night between 7am and midnight.

Please remember :

Fireworks are noisy which can upset very young or elderly people as well as pets 😾 🐶 👵🏽
Fireworks can cause damage and serious injuries if not used properly 🤕 🚑
Even SMALL fires should be reported to the Fire & Rescue service on 999. Small fires can quickly escalate and firefighters are better equipped to deal with these situations 🔥 🧯 🚒 👩🏻‍🚒
As always, if a crime is in progress or if you feel your life is in danger then call 999. 👮
For non-emergencies, you can report crimes and anti-social behaviour online or by calling 101. 💻 ☎️

We have some sad news in that following joint search activity involving our officers and Lowland Rescue Oxfordshire yesterday, a body has been located and recovered from the water near to Windsor Race Course.
Formal identification has yet to be conducted, however the family of Paul, aged 71, who went missing from Maidenhead in October, have been informed.
The death is being treated as unexplained but not suspicious and a file will be prepared for the coroner.
We would like to thank the charities Lowland Rescue Oxfordshire, and Berkshire Lowland Search and Rescue for the support they have provided in our search for Paul.
We would also extend our thanks to members of the public who also provided support.
Our thoughts remain with Paul’s family at this difficult time.

Now... you might think this is a bit excessive for this small quad, but when it's being driven on the road, you need to have insurance, a licence, and all the other necessary documents.

This rider was reported to court and could face up to 8 points on his licence and a £400 fine.

OP GROTTO

It has been a busy couple of days for the Priority Crime Team on OP GROTTO. We had the support of our colleagues on JOU dog unit 🐶 and roads policing team 🚔 . This resulted in a great stop of a suspicious vehicle, where two persons decamped. Luckily our officers were quick on their feet to get them detained. Then last night, officers were proactively patrolling around Aylesbury, Beaconsfield, Chalfont St Peter and Gerrards Cross. Remember as we get closer to the holiday season:

🔵 make sure not to post on social media if you’re away from home
🔵 hide packaging for expensive items out of sight
🔵 close you curtains or blinds
🔵 use a timer to automatically turn lights on
