The first season of The Case Files was recorded in a studio, near Farringdon in London. There is a team looking for cases and speakers, then planning the episodes. Since March 2020 this has happened online, with interviews taking place on video calls and using mobile phones to record audio. These interviews are then stitched together to create the episode you hear.

This Sexual Abuse and Sexual Violence Awareness Week we wanted to highlight the charities which appeared on episodes 8 and 9 of The Case Files, talking about the abuse at Chetham’s School of Music. The Survivors Trust is the National Umbrella Organisation for Specialist R**e and Sexual Abuse Support Services. Embrace Child Victims of Crime supports children, young people and families who are victims of serious crime. They both do great work if you're looking for a charity or cause to support.

Cervical cancer is a disease that doesn't always have obvious symptoms, some people won't experience any signs at all. Having routine screening is the best solution. Other signs can include unusual bleeding or pain during s*x. The majority of women with these symptoms won't have cervical cancer, but it is always worth getting checked.
