Our next guest needs no introduction.

Keepsakes, the alias of British-New Zealand producer and DJ James Barrett, who has been a strong and distinctive voice in techno since. Rising to fame through his Stygian Concrete Works and Weapons Grade Manic EPs back in 2014 and since then he has showcased his powerful and menacing, yet often cheeky and playful, productions on influential labels including South London Analogue Material, Perc Trax, MORD, Earwiggle and KAOS. Furthermore, he founded the Haven club night alongside Jaded Nineties Raver in Tāmaki Maraukau, Aotearoa (Auckland, New Zealand) in 2015 - aiming to introduce clubbers to the experimental and harder side of techno in a city completely devoid of this music.

In 2018 Haven also expanded into a vinyl-focused record label - going on to release many leading international artists including VTSS, Tommy Holohan, New Frames, Peder Mannerfelt, Ayarcana, Ansome, and Ryan James Ford, as well as becoming the main home for Barrett’s own productions. Now located in Ōtautahi, Aotearoa (Christchurch, New Zealand) - following several years in Berlin hitting the European club circuit - he is focused on bringing his tough and eclectic sound to dance floors worldwide, with regular appearances at international techno institutions providing a platform for his formidable DJ sets.

We are excited to announce the latest editon of ADSR with our guest, Jab Solid.

No stranger to La Cheetah, he originally hosted Circuit with Lemmiwinks, inviting guests such as Ben Pest and Sebastian Swarm. He is something of a specialist when it comes to industrial, having produced a large amount of tracks that we hope to hear on the night.

He is performing a special b2b with manu_facturer. Expect some heavy artillery during this set!

They are joined by residents 3SBAT and Kalopsia who will be serving up dark atmospheres, broken beats and sinister synths.

My latest track Mars Desolating (Olympus Mons) is now out on @3.x.2.u, new Croatian based label.

The album, 'Celestial Dissolvement' theme is that of The Planets. Each of the artists on VA was given a gong sample in a frequency that corespondes to the chosen planet. I selected Mars as mine. To perfectly describe 'The God of War' I created haunting vocals and thunderous percs with the help of my noise box from to depict war on the 'Red Planet'.

I've been taking lessons for the last few months with Boom Merchant and found them to be an invaluable part of building my skills and knowledge in sound design.

In the lessons, some things I've been taught are, how to structure tracks, drum synthesis, how to apply effects and how also how to use analog instruments.

Some equipment avaliable to use is the Elektron Analog Rytm and machine drum, the Dave Smith Tempest and Moog Sub Phatty.

After a few lessons with him, I decided to invest in an Elektron Analog Rytm and this has now became a valuable part of my production.

Well worth the time if you're just a beginner or would like to brush up on some stuff.
