Hello all, a bit of a plea I guess.

We are REALLY quiet at the moment and I'm not sure why. Although we have lots of lovely funded sessions on, the funding doesn't cover non funded sessions and overheads. It just covers the session that is being funded and pays for providers to come in. So we are still struggling, and working harder than ever behind the scenes to make it work, like most other businesses.

We need your support to help keep us going, so please can you share and comment on posts that we put on here, as I don't think we are reaching as many people as we should.

Also, by sharing, you will help us reach more people who could benefit from the funded sessions.

We have received a report from a listener in Upper Boat of a loud explosion which seems to have triggered a large fire - and South Wales Police have announced on social media they are attending a serious incident on Severn Road in Treforest roads are closed in the area.

South Wales Police say in a statement:-

“We are at the scene of a serious incident on Severn Road, Trefforest.

The roads will be closed around the area of Trefforest Industrial Estate and is expected to remain closed for some time.

Motorists are advised to avoid the area and use alternative routes where possible. Delays are expected in the area.”

Celebrate the launch of a permanent Repair Café and Library of Things in the centre of Pontypridd this Saturday! 🥳

We will have fixer volunteers specialised in Sewing, Upholstery, General (non-electrical) and Computer (hardware and software) repairs on the day. The Library of Things will be open for you to borrow items such as gazebos, carpet cleaners and pressure washers at low cost (cash only)! 🤩

Pontypridd Town Council’s Summer Fun Day and Vintage Transport Rally is back this year on Saturday August 26th in Ynysangharad Park!
