MASSIVE… BIG… HUGE SHOUTOUT TO GOPRO!
I have lost not 1 but 2 GoPro’s cams plus the Rode external wireless receiver (TX), all on the same day few hours apart.
As you can see from this short video I posted how I lost my Hero 5 black that was on my head. I was gutted to lose it again this way. (Lost it a couple of years ago the same way and therefore got the floater foams frame but I haven’t used it this time). But, that wasn’t the end.. who would think he would manage to lose more GoPro and more expensive gear in a few hours.
Heading back in just before coming on the beach I was reeling in the lure I trolled. Turning the face forward and I realised that the Railblaza R- 600 boom, the camera mount is bent and the camera setup took a dip. It was all still connected to the boom, nothing fell off but I guess the screw connector of the boom was loose and the stick got bent enough to give the camera a taste of salt water.
I immediately straighten up the boom but it was a bit too late. Although a few seconds in the water, the setup I had was waterproof compromised. In order to attaché an external mic and to charge the system the GoPro side door needs to be removed, hence not waterproof anymore.
Coming home dried the system with a hot air dryer, waiting a day but it’s all gone.
I called GoPro the next day to check what my options are. Again, I had 3 cameras in total:
1 Hero 7 black and 2 Hero 5 black. I have left now with the older Hero 5 black, the one that was already quite worn, I mean working but the colour of the picture it took was very flat and the front LED screen didn’t turn on.
Long story short, the customer care lady was so nice and so helpful. I told her the story as it was. She said no warranty for water damage Sir and anyhow my Hero 7 was bought over 3 years ago, but she said: ‘you are such a valuable customer, I see you are for such a long time a GoPro Plus member (monthly fee of £4.99.-), you are eligible for 3 cameras’ exchanges, do you
It's an Undulate Ray for 2022 (not as mistakenly was said 2020)

HOUSE FLY - PRACTICE
Playing a pilot in my little living room.... Not too far from taking it on the Katak...
Impossible to reach bottom passing the Coal fish
Offshore in the open water between 60-100m depth, we are trying to drop a heavy 500g metal perk to reach the bottom. In a chance to get a Mama Cod or a big Halibut you have to reach the bottom but the thick Coalfish layer in-between the water column, taking it on its way down...
Same fish just a different angle.... Thanks to captain Thomas Rolf who took the video
My first Halibut keeper...
thank you Norway. One more day to go..
It is day 3/4 today.
It is all about catching my first ever Halibut today.
So far Wolffish was for me the winning fish. This is a small example how strong they are.
Tight lines.
I had a chance for a Halibut today. It was also a big one, I know that... but I lost it in the run.. they are so strong!
Alan William Smith had total of two today, one over a meter long and one he lost as well, a good one.
I had 3 wolffish. I have received the official name of ‘WolfMen’ angler.
Tomorow is another day... another chance for a Halibut. At least we have knowledge for tomorrow that we didn’t have today.
Tight lines
Going on a holiday and not getting ‘Scanck’ it always a Good Bonus!!
