Sick Note Recordings Essex based Recording Studio offering an affordable Production, Mixing and Mastering service. Ideal for small bands and solo artists, overdubs etc.

We have a small well equipped 24 track digital/analogue recording and mixing facility. We have some nice quirky outboard as well as a rare 6 track cassette analogue tape machine! The studio is based around a high-powered PC running Cubase Pro 12. Although digital based- our hybrid set up utilises some wonderful analogue gear (some handmade!) including an Oram 8T mixing desk. If you have already st

arted a project at home and would like to overdub, re-amp or record though some hi-quality microphones and outboard to make your project complete this is the ideal place. We can produce hi-res files up to 192kHz although generally work at 48 kHz 24-bit
We have a have an array of Hardware and plugins for every application featuring IK Multimedia, Empirical labs, Tokyo Dawn Labs, Eventide and many more. As well as tracking we can mix and master a project you have already tracked or started. Studio Equipment

I thought I'd have another crack at a Talking Heads song 15 years later. I do love the sentiment of the song and I hope I've done it justice this time. If you are interested in recording, producing music here we will be extending the studio over the coming months. There will be some considerable enhancements to the live space. It's been a big year for the studio and a huge learning curve having people other than me play in here. As well as uppgading some of the recording equipment and software, a huge amount of effort has been put into improving the accoustic treatment and facilities for tracking drums- All home made (of course) from recycled material. There is also three new descrete headpnone amps so musicians can play (and hear) more comfortably; the kit has been completely re-skinned and tuned as well. I can't wait to put it to use this year.
