The response to Arran Graphics' post about Xmas Gift Wrap has been very good. Shortly, possibly by this weekend, you'll be able to purchase it locally at the Big Co-Op in Brodick . Online, it's now available to buy at our own site (www.arranmedia.co.uk/shop ) and we will be shipping it out in packs of 5 by next week. Gift cards that match the wrapping paper will be added to the website today.

Meanwhile, Arran Media's page may have been quiet for a while but Heather and myself have been busy not only with our other work but also ideas for Arran Media and What's Happening on Arran. We will have news on these ideas regularly on our show so please tune in to What's Happening On Arran and join in if you can.

Our shop enables us to offer some unique items which all help to support our online shows and interactions with people on the island. We don't ask for donations as we are keen to offer something back, hence this collection.

We have loaded our Roadtrip around Arran onto a private YouTube link (£2) or a brand new 16GB USB stick for £14. The Youtube link will be emailed to you automatically once you've purchased it.
This isn't documentary standard, just Heather and I with the iphone stuck to the window, and we're chatting away as we do. Still, the weather was glorious and the 2 hours is, we hope, worth it. The proceeds of this will go towards more gear and more cake. Not necessarily in that order. Thank you. Graham

For just £45 we'll animate your logo and use it from time to time on our live & recorded videos. You also get it as a video file (.mp4) to use wherever you like! Templates we use can incorporate your logo and one line of text (usually your website or facebook url). If you're interested, email us at [email protected] . I've been designing some things again and this latest "vintage style travel poster" will eventually become a screen-printed t-shirt I think. However, in the meantime, I've had some posters printed and they're online at www.arranmedia.co.uk right now. You can choose to have delivery (£15) or collect (£10) on a Sunday from wherever we are filming.
Proceeds from the current listings we have will go directly towards additional microphones and adapters which allow us to wander around in 4G and chat live. 🙂

The Time Capsule idea which originated between one of our followers, the local Co-Op and Brodick Improvements Society is one that we have been given some access to in order to produce an archive of material for future generations. Whilst access to today's technology is surely going to be easy for people living in 2121, we felt it would be unique to have a disk of video, audio, photography and writings, directly associated with how we have (a), handled the pandemic and (b), looked at what Arran may be like in a hundred years.
So, we are looking for content. A family video, a recording or a piece of written work relating to Arran. We are happy to offer a recording service and we can meet you outside at present or you can supply your video if you are happy to do this yourself. Perhaps you'd like to be interviewed, or feature your kids. Whatever you'd like to submit will not see the light of day for 100 years, so being embarrassed about taking a video shouldn't even enter your head. No recordings will be kept above ground or on computer, anywhere.
We are charging £5 for any service - individual or family - supplied by you or recorded by us. That covers our time, writing your memories to the disk and some of the money will go to BIC and the purchase of the capsule itself.
This is a rather unique opportunity and we welcome anyone who wishes to get involved, keeping the subject matter Arran-related wherever possible.

Whilst we wait to get out and about properly, I was up Glen Rosa this morning in some beautiful - but cold - sunshine. The views of Beinn Nuis and Cir Mhor were stunning. There is considerable snow on the mountain tops but the snowline fizzles out completely at around 600 feet. VisitArran

We are very appreciative of all the new "likes" and followers to this page, particularly as we have yet to explain exactly what it is we intend to do! Obviously, the lockdown will restrict a lot of things at the moment, but here's a few ideas we have for the future.
• Continuation of our live broadcasts What's Happening On Arran
• Support, set-up and monitoring of any other business or individual wishing to produce a live facebook or youtube event, demonstration or product advertisement
• Interaction with the public on recorded shows (this could mean us talking to people going up Goatfell, visitors in the street, etc...)
• Live and recorded music events, features and solo performances
• Production of advertisements, including logo animations, voice-overs and on-site filming
• Event coverage, editing and production
• Print and peripheral design and production for videos, including marketing and distribution (this ideally for fundraising for any group or business looking to produce a memory-stick of videos for their operation.
• Supply, setting up and monitoring of P.A equipment for any committee or public hall meetings, including wireless mics, speakers and so on. (we do not intend, however, to simply hire this out). We can also, obviously, record these meetings or conduct them as live broadcasts, subject to high-speed broadband access.

We also have some fun ideas to look at which could involve specific groups of people on the island.

Much more to follow as we get to the end (hopefully) of lockdown.

WHOA will now become just one part of Arran Media, which itself will be offering all manner of video, audio and music content - and services - for the island. Specifically, this includes advert creation, product placement, background music, voice-overs, logo animations and video creation for your business social media page.
