Apologies if you were hoping to see stillefelt remixed by Elda with Mark Sanders. Because of the closeness of some of the musicians to NHS staff and other key workers we made the decision not to get together. Hopefully you’ll understand! We’ve vowed to do that gig (either online or in real life) very soon.

Instead, here’s a solo set/live remix of stillefelt combined from bass player Chris Mapp. Chris had been heavily involved in the postponed Punkt Birmingham festival. His trio stillefelt were also due to play at the festival as well as tonight. This set is improvised using elements of the last stillefelt gig recorded back in October, when life was more normal! It’s a kind of slightly delayed live remix…

There’s a link above to buy the forthcoming stillefelt album, out very soon in early April. Bandcamp are waiving their fees for today (20th March) so all of the money will go to the artists. If you don’t want to buy an album but still want to contribute something then please use the PayPal link above. It will help to fund more of these solo streaming gigs from Birmingham based improvisers and experimenters in the future, whilst we’re all housebound. Maybe a remix of this remix!

PUNKT BIRMINGHAM POSTPONEMENT

We are very sorry to announce that, due to the ongoing developments surrounding the coronavirus, Punkt Birmingham will need to be postponed. This has not been an easy decision to make, however, because of concerns around public safety and international travel, we are looking at rescheduling the event.

Arranging a new date is our top priority and with the help of our supporters, our aim is to deliver Punkt Birmingham as it was meant to be as soon as possible.

If you are one of the people who has already booked tickets for Punkt Birmingham you have two options. Firstly, you can contact the Royal Birmingham Conservatoire Box Office for a refund.

Alternatively you can contact them now and ask for your ticket to be transferred to the new date when it is confirmed.

If you have already made arrangements to travel to the festival we can only apologise for the late notice of the postponement. This has been beyond our control and hopefully it will not discourage you from attending in the future.

The need to postpone Punkt Birmingham has been particularly upsetting for the artists involved in the project and we urge you, if you can, to find other ways to support their music. Here are some useful links:
