Andrew Clifford, from Hollingwood, was paralysed from the chest down after an accident last year.
His family is dedicating this year to raising money to convert the garage at home into a bedroom and bathroom. Their target is £15,000.
The first fundraiser which is a charity skydive takes place on 10th March, involving 4 members of the family and a family friend.
Nigel Turner spoke to Andrew's niece Lucy Clifford and family friend Kiri Catherwood.

Like local authorities across the country, the council is facing extreme pressures on its budgets, due to a variety of factors outside of its control.
