Blogging is one of the easiest ways to improve your SEO for your website, but this is two fold:
It allows you to establish yourself as an authority in your niche and by answering the types of questions your prospective clients are searching for on Google - you can provide the answer in a blog format and drive traffic to your website.
Guest blogging is another great way to create those all important backlinks to your website which as I posted about on my profile yesterday, the Google bots just love!

🙋🏻‍♀️ Is taking the time out to learn a new skill worth it in the long run?
I recently had a conversation with someone who was delighted in the fact that they had taken the time to learn a new skill. They’d avoided it for a long time because they believed they couldn’t do it.
I’ve always had an enquiring mind - I like to know how things work. So, that has always stood me in good stead when it comes to being successful in anything I do. I like to say ‘No one was born knowing how to do [INSERT SKILL]’ and if they could learn to do it, so can I! I think that’s why YouTube was invented!

The biggest mistake I made when I started out in the online world… I was so excited to get myself out there after certifying as a Life Coach and NLP Practitioner that I felt my way in the dark of setting up a website. I had no idea what made a good website or how to structure it.
I very quickly realised that it was not any good and was even embarrassed to send people to it. It was a matter of months before I realised that I had no niche and that everything about my website was wrong. No wonder I didn’t get any clients from it!
During those months I had spent so much time learning from the ‘experts’ in the field about how to be a successful coach in the online world - it was, quite frankly, overwhelming and exhausting!

Before you hand over any money to a web designer, please… please… PLEASE ask these three questions. I have been working with so many clients who didn’t know to ask this and now I’m overhauling their entire website because it was just not fit for purpose.
❌ They weren’t ranking in search results
❌ Their copy wasn’t hitting the key elements of engaging their prospective clients
❌ The layout and menu headings were all wrong
Remember that web design is more than just putting pictures and words on to web pages. A decent web designer will take their time to get to know you and your business/niche so that they can offer advice on copywriting, SEO and layouts.
❓ Do you have experience of building websites for my niche?
✅ If they don’t understand what your business or niche is about, they are not going to be able to give you tailored advice. Once size does not fit all when it comes to building websites that convert.
❓ Will you provide a SEO (search engine optimisation) advice or services?
✅ This may feel like an extra step when you’re just starting out, but the search engine game is a long term strategy and it’s best to consider this from the start, as it will impact on your copywriting for your website too.

3 things you need to know about SEO or search engine optimisation:

📌 There is no exact science with SEO - you need to try out different keywords and phrases. You need to monitor your analytics to see which pages perform well with which keywords and phrases.

📌 You want to use one keyword or ‘seed word’ on every page SEO. This will be linked to your niche and unique solution.

📌 Each page should have its own key phrase that should contain your keyword or ‘seed word’.

Don’t shoot the messenger…

These days there are so many options for website hosting platforms.

While there are several options out there, I want to shed some light on why Wix might not be the best choice for your next website project.

Here are three reasons to consider:

1️⃣ Limited Customisation: While Wix is super easy to use with a ‘drag-and-drop’ interface, it comes with some trade-offs. The platform's design flexibility can be somewhat limited compared to other options. If you're looking for a truly unique and tailor-made website, you may find Wix's templates and design options somewhat restrictive.

2️⃣ SEO Challenges: Search Engine Optimisation (SEO) is crucial for driving organic traffic to your website. Unfortunately, Wix has historically faced some challenges in terms of SEO optimisation. Although improvements have been made, certain limitations still exist that can hinder your website's visibility in search engine rankings. If SEO is a priority for you, exploring other platforms might be a better choice.

Just like social media platforms, search engines continuously update their algorithms, so regular SEO maintenance is crucial. Here are three ways to improve and maintain your web pages:

A well-optimised page has a clean design, relevant text, and quick-loading, mobile-friendly images. Incorporate key keywords naturally and consistently into your web page copy.
