What's new on INSTAGRAM.

IG is constantly changing, upgrading and evolving in trying to become a more video based app (basically like Tik Tok).

You'll have noticed that your engagement has dropped considerably but IG are doing all they can to bring those numbers back up.

New features include
🌟 videos under 60 secs are no longer broken up when you post to stories giving you a cleaner clearer video
🌟 they've introduced a way you can automatically make reels from your stories. This is great if you battle to make reels or lack ideas for reel content
🌟 they've introduced a map search so it's much like Google in that you can find places near a location you are searching
🌟 some of you might have this feature, some not. It's called Topics and it's almost a hashtag upgrade for reels. Allowing the algorithm and people to understand what your content is about and find you easier

IMPOSTER SYNDROME

This is something we ALL struggle with.

How many times have you checked out your competitors instead of your community?
How many times have you compared yourself and what you are doing to others in your niche?

Instead of doing this, change your mindset and support others in your niche, because your niche is big enough for everyone.

And if you bring your true self to the table, you'll find your Tribe and the people that want to follow and support you.

The best advice I can give you is :
YOU are the only person judging YOU. Not your friends, family, colleagues, other businesses, or anyone on Instagram - just YOU. So give yourself a break, and show up 100% when you can ❤

STUCK FOR CONTENT??

Are you finding it difficult to continuously come up with ideas on what to post? Maybe your audience is getting bored with what you post?

How about mixing it up and letting your audience know more about YOU and your business? Let them in.

In order to have growth, increased engagement you need to post what your audience want to see.

Make sure you have a clear strategy and clearly defined content pillars in other words does your audience know what you do and does it appeal to them.

Remember when planning any content
1. Who is your ideal audience?
2. What makes you different? Why follow/buy from you and not someone else.
3. What pain point/ problem are you solving?

Here's how to engage with your community to help grow those strong support bonds with you and your followers.

Remember, Instagram LOVES you to be social, it's social media after all, which means you are gonna have to say hello and strike up a conversation!

Mindlessly liking a handful of posts is not going to help you develop online connections and a thumbs up 👍 emoji doesn't strike up a conversation!

My bad habits lead to ....
Lack of engagement, loss of community, and poor visibility on Instagram.

Its 2022, so time to kick those bad habits into last year and keep them there. Are you guilty of any of these? Sure you're not going to get into trouble but why do them if they are hurting your growth and engagement!

Instagram is planning on bringing back its chronological feed early next year.

Head of Instagram, Adam Mosseri said "We're currently working on a version of a chronological feed that we hope to launch next year".

Instagram is "creating new options" and "providing people with more choices".

It's likely Instagram will introduce different feed options

Instagram haven't released any new details on how this will roll out, but I'll let you know as soon as I do.
