Long old beach when the tides low
Car recovered. Man arrested.
UPDATE | Police investigating a serious road traffic collision in the St Agnes area have recovered a car they believe was involved and a man has been arrested.
Officers are continuing to appeal for witnesses and information following the collision which involved a bicycle and a car.
The incident took place on Goonown Road, between Sevenmilestone and Goonbell at around 6.15pm on Wednesday 18 September.
The collision involved a pedal cycle and a dark coloured vehicle which left the scene.
As a result of the collision, the male cyclist was taken to Derriford Hospital by air ambulance with potentially life changing injuries.
Police have recovered a black Mercedes Coupe that they believe was involved.
A 28-year-old man from the Truro area has been arrested on suspicion of causing serious injury by dangerous driving and other motoring offences. He remains in police custody.
Officers from Devon and Cornwall Roads Policing Team attended the incident and carried out a detailed investigation of the scene.
Anyone with any relevant information or video footage which may assist the investigation is asked to contact police urgently via our website or by calling 101 quoting reference log 746 of 18/09/2024.

Hoping you all had a fantastic summer (and we still are...)
Reminder that Friday night film club is back on at Porthtowan Village Hall tomorrow eve - Friday 20th September and 3rd Friday of every month.
Tomorrow we will be showing "yesterday" a fantastic film with even better music...
Next Month is Free Solo for all those adventurers / climbing enthusiasts out there...or even those arm chair adventurers!
Please do come along and support your village hall and our film club.
Tickets available on the door (open from 7pm)
Bar will be open before the film and during the interval for refreshing drinks and yummy snacks!

'Police are hunting for the driver of a black Mercedes Coupe after a hit and run which left a male cyclist with life changing injuries.
