💭 My thoughts from in front of the camera... A very Happy Birthday to my Dad. Sadly I have few images of his motoring exploits over the years but his enthusiasm for cars and my path in the industry has guided me well over the years - thank you 🙏

A fun fact, my uncle nicknamed my Dad “Escargot” during his brief Caterham racing career in the 90’s due to his pace… whilst driving a car that they built together. It may have had something to do with the exhaust being fitted upside down 😂

💭 My thoughts from behind the camera... For once we had a decent Golden Hour the other day, so I actually took some photos of my own car. It made me realise that rediscovering something you love is really good for the soul 🤌

The irony is this car never excited me when I first bought it. However, as I rapidly approach 100,000 miles (50k driven by me) in this thing, I can’t help but think it’s a keeper 🥹

It has proven to be the perfect car, no matter what the occasion it delivers in spades. Any weather, any situation, this car is there. The best of the humble people’s cars? I think so 🤔

We have had some ridiculous adventures together, all over the UK and Europe. We’ve had highs and lows. We’ve evolved and adapted together… so what’s the next step? 👀

In light of it recently being Mothers Day and International Women’s Day, I wanted to show my love and thankfulness for one of the most inspirational and supportive female figures in my life 😊

It’s clear my Mum - Nicky - shares her passion for cars with me, and I’ll be forever grateful to have the same petrol running through my veins as her ⛽️

💭 My thoughts from behind the camera... I’m privileged to see a lot of Porsches day to day, but this one is a little special 🤌

It’s a 991.2 generation which in my opinion is the sweet spot of the water cooled 911s. Massive torque is provided by the fire spitting Bi-Turbo 3.0 Flat 6 engine, and there isn’t an OPF in sight to dampen the song this motor produces 🎶

It’s perfectly specified with a plethora of factory options, including the ultra rare ducktail spoiler. Keen eyed Porschephiles will also notice it is the most engaging of the 911 GTS models being rear wheel drive 🤩

The special order PTS colour, Grigio Campovolo, can trace its origins back to Abarth models, but personally I think the 911 wears its Italian suit well 😏

I’m also glad to report that you’ll see this car in its natural habit more often than not. My good pals Jaymie and Liza who currently play caretakers to this gorgeous beast, believe it should be driven and not hidden 🙏

💭 My thoughts from behind the camera... Imagine this 🤔

You bought your dream car. You scrimped and saved for years for this, and now it’s finally here. You love it more than life itself. It doesn’t just take you places, it moves you in so many ways 🤍

As time goes on, you make little improvements to your beloved purchase. With every modification you add, your bond with your machine grows 👍

One day you reach the realisation that this is more than a just a project. It’s an obsession, an extension of your heart and soul. After all this is what you’ve poured into this machine 😓

Sometimes it’s been tough, other times it’s been pain, for sure you’ve shed some blood, sweat, and tears 😭

Then it all clicks in to place when you strap in for the next drive. You turn the key, the engine revs, and you head down the road as fast as you dare into the night 🌌

Mile after mile, hour after hour, you drive aimlessly without a destination in mind. The quality time with your metal companion is all that matters. You’re blind to your surroundings, focusing on only what matters. Its like therapy 🧘

When you eventually stop and reconnect with the outside world, you see this image in your inbox with the simple caption “cool car bro”. Your life suddenly feels complete ☑️

It’s this mentality that drives us funny little breed of people that call ourselves petrolheads. If you’re not one of us, I’m sorry but you’ll just never understand 🤙

💭 Our thoughts from behind the camera... Some slightly less professional photography than usual due to being slightly unprepared, but please bear with me… 😅

Recently me and the Mrs acquired our first joint project car. After a brief jaunt through Facebook marketplace, we present this gem of a JDM bargain 👀

The good points… it’s a 2.0 sport with full cow interior, bunda burners, Bose eardrum destroyers, factory l*d and a 6 speed box of cogs 🤩

The bad… it has holes than a colander, we’ll need a magician to fix the emissions, and the suspension is as floppy as a damp old sock 😂

Rest assured, the price I paid reflects this 💰

Still it’s a great basis for a project 👌

We’re so excited for what could come of this little convertible… see you on track next spring? 😜

💭 My thoughts from behind the camera... So this happened. A proper “Ma, I made it” moment. My mind is totally blown 🤯. I never thought I’d see my work published in print, but as I sat down for a celebratory chicken dinner, it was there alright and I was trying to avoid touching it with my greasy paws 😂. I might have got a little emotional, because it has been a hell of a journey to get here 🥹. Some said I was making a mistake taking this direction with my work, but I would say this is proof to the contrary 🤷‍♂️.
