🗣 If you want to persuade others, do not neglect to build confidence in yourself.
If you have a game-changing idea, but have not managed to make it land with others, it's time to do some introspection.
🌟 Before you can convince others, you need to have a solid foundation of self-confidence. Confidence from others will not be forthcoming if they cannot sense it within you.
🤔 Consider every angle of your vision in as much depth as possible, being critical will allow you to anticipate potential reservations in your audience.
✅ Perhaps the reason you have struggled to convince anyone is because you haven't conveyed a full picture. A precise and crystal clear vision eliminates the chance of misunderstandings - instead leaving your audience with an accurate and understood picture.

Life as a working parent can feel like a battle to give your all to these two highly important sides of your life.
Like spinning plates, managing all this at once can be too much.
Is maintaining both career and parenthood in a completely regimental co-existence even possible?
Perhaps, but in doing so you leave very little space for YOU – and you may lose grip of your identity as you spiral towards burnout.
@annawilkconsulting our workplace Inclusion Motivator, notes that giving equally to career and family would appear to be a logical solution at first, when compared with facing down a compromise or sacrifice. When managing aspects as important as career ambitions and loved ones, we don’t want to let anything fall to the wayside.
With a blended approach however, you can have it all – just not all at the same time.
💼💜By developing rhythms and boundaries you can ensure that you give quality time, and unbroken focus to each sphere.

🥇 You have so much value in the workplace – so how often do you recognise this, and let it shine?
The change we have all experienced in the last year has not only made us more adaptable, but also more receptive to new ideas.
🤯 This unlocks a more open mindset, freeing the potential for creative solutions and remarkable new concepts.
💡 You can apply this to your work if you realise your value in the workplace, and find confidence in your ideas.
🗣 Don’t be passive, actively present your ideas with pride, and make your achievements known.
🌟 Own your zone to impress everyone you work with!
A complete mastery of your own specialisms and responsibilities is one of the best skills you can develop.
Make sure you understand your position, and fully take charge of your responsibilities.
👑 This will help you to become well recognised in your organisation as someone who is intensely reliable, and an expert in your zone.
🔦 This also helps to resist the urge to unfairly compare yourself to others – as long as you maintain full visibility and clarity over your zone you will be much more likely to prove yourself.
❤ You were hired for a reason, and you know what you need to do, so trust yourself with confidence rather than letting comparison inadequacy seep in.
⛓ As we free ourselves from the restrictions of the past year, how are you approaching this period?
Are you eager to show your skills at their max, treating this as a proving ground?
Or maybe you are looking to continue experimenting to find your best method of working?
❄ Either way, be sure that you do not fall into self comparison, everyone works differently, so unfair comparisons will not help you prove yourself.
🎯 Don’t let anxiety overwhelm you, others might succeed where you struggle, but this does not reflect on your capabilities.
🤔 Remember what you have learned, and continue to act and be proactive. Then you will have proven yourself.
When was the last time you said ‘no’ to something at work?
It can be really easy to agree to things, since you want to look as proficient as possible. But when it comes down to it, agreeing to the wrong things leaves us incapable of giving our all to the right things.
📰 Once you overcome the pressure of turning down assigned tasks, you will be able to properly dedicate yourself to the tasks that you already have.
🔗 In fact, by saying no, you are showing your honesty, which builds trust between you and your colleagues.
💪 This helps both you and your colleagues to better understand your capacity and strengths.
Everyone has times in life when you take on more than you can chew.
Especially at times like the present when things are opening up and opportunities and demands on your time resurface.
🏆 This can occur when you overestimate your capabilities – perhaps consciously as an attempt to impress those around you, or unconsciously due to a lack of practice.
🛣 This can cause you to lose your way, focusing on low value tasks that bulk up your priorities.
🤔 The key to overcoming this is through self reflection and realism. Take time each day to plan where your attention needs to be.
Do you give your wins enough time in the spotlight? Or do you just move along?
There is a pervasive instinct to not dwell on your wins, for fear of acting selfishly or insensitively.
But by recognising these wins, you can establish greater strength and go on to create a true streak of victories.
🗣Share your success with others, and give those around you a spark of inspiration.
🤗Your successes are an important part of you and your story, so wear them with pride and use them to elevate your journey, and the journeys of others.
🛣This can create a healthier view of progress, one that is not necessarily linear, but is abundant with wins big and small.
Getting attached to the status quo of your life can be comfortable, but it is limiting.
Perhaps you are in a really good place right now and you don't want your situation to be altered, or maybe you are in a tough spot and fear that change might make things worse.
By practicing gratitude you can detach your mental state from the status quo, and build the resilience necessary to embrace life’s changes.
Here are some ways you can try gratitude for yourself:
🔢 As soon as you wake up, write a numbered list of all the things you feel grateful for.
🖼 Print off photos of cherished people and memories, creating an album or decorating a wall with them.
💌 Write a nice message to someone who you really appreciate to let them know how amazing they are.
Doing this daily transforms your overall outlook into one that finds much more to appreciate in life than there is to fear.
♾The only constant in life is that very little is truly constant. Change is going to happen.
The sooner we can accept change, the better. Being obstinate in the face of change will not allow you to stay in your element: only keep you lagging behind.
On the other hand, you can use change as a tool for your benefit if you are ready for it, and accept it as a part of life.
🤗 Being in a state that is welcoming of change, instead of fearing it, you unlock the powers of creative thinking and visualisation. By thinking ahead, the impact of change is limited.
🤔Consider your existing routines and how you can make them more resilient to change so that you can adapt on the fly.
🔄From there you can flip the switch. With an agile life and ability to predict change you are able to identify ways to use change to your benefit.
Don’t fear change, plan for it and mould it into an advantageous form.
Proactive communication makes the difference between a satisfyingly completed to-do list, and one that is full of unfinished tasks.
By going out of your way to share your daily objectives, and your end of day achievements with your team or manager, you gain accountability and further motivation.
👁🗨This also gives visibility to those you work with, and helps yourself and your team get a deeper understanding of your progress.
📑 Keep your plans realistic to ensure that you consistently deliver on the promises you communicate to others and yourself.
✅ By continuing to ensure total visibility, you will soon develop a reputation as a reliable task-ticker.
You will struggle to get anywhere without a firm grasp of self-management, especially when working from home.
This means having a crystal clear understanding of how you spend your workday, and being able to put together effective plans that realistically mirror your capabilities.
This gives you self-confidence and security in yourself, as well as giving others reason to confidently trust you and your plans.
🗣 Communication is key when being given a task. Be as open as possible, manage their expectations for delivery in keeping with your capacity, and ensure that there is full mutual understanding.
📝 Understand your progress and time management by keeping track of all your tasks. This keeps your insight at its maximum, and allows you to communicate your progress with full clarity.
⌚Be aware of the ongoing tasks on your list – the low value ones that keep getting pushed down the line. Leaving these unaddressed drains energy and headspace. Find out why it is not getting done, and get it completed or bin it.
👂 There is a big difference between hearing someone speak, and truly listening to them.
You might think you listen to people in life, but this is a real skill that not many have and fewer yet have mastered.
Essentially this means the difference between genuinely absorbing what people have to say, as opposed to waiting for your turn to speak.
So why put effort towards improving your listening skills?
💪 Your empathy and creativity – both important skills too – will be boosted, and you will gain a steadfast confidence in your own thoughts and actions.
⚔ Its a great way to practice discipline and self control, which will keep your ego tamed.
🗣 You will make a great impression on those you are listening to. People love to be recognised and will remember those who listen. To show your listening skills, recite your understanding back to them.
This underrated communication skill ensures we are all on the same wavelength, and gives everyone the chance to be heard.
Marketing that preys on your insecurity is everywhere, especially prevalent on social media platforms.
Adverts are designed to make you feel as though you are lacking, and in need of something, for diet and fitness brands this lack will be reflective of your inner feelings about your body.
The more you feel insecure about your body they can sell to you.
Don't let the unhealthy comparison sway your positive thinking.
♥Respect your body, and its ability to take you through every day.
🏋️♀️Don’t fall for crash diets or workout routines that do more harm than good.
🥗Adopt health and fitness routines for your own benefit, not to change how others see you.
🍏Health and wellness should be a priority for us all, but the comparison it brings can be dangerous.
Competition can be motivating, giving us the fuel to do the hard work that is necessary.
But by competing, and comparing with others you’re putting yourself in an unfair position, as you are unique, and the comparison will always find differences.
This also applies to the comparison that comes when we examine the wealth, knowledge and skills of others.
You can use competition to improve yourself… but instead compete with yourself, not others:
🏁Set your own goals to work towards, catered towards your capabilities.
🏃♀️Work at your own pace and find the rhythm that works for you.
📏Measure your own progress, so that the results are obvious to you, only compare against your previous results.

Judgement is a mirror, it reflects your own traits back.
In many instances the things you might judge or criticise others for are the very same flaws you subconsciously recognise within yourself.
It’s much easier to judge from a distance than it is to do the hard work of reflecting inwards.
🎭 You filter everything in the outside world through your own internal understanding. You recognised a negative trait within someone else, if you didn’t have it within you too to some extent, you wouldn't notice it.
🔃 When you find yourself judging someone else, turn the mirror inwards to find the areas you need to work on.
❤️ You will find that doing this boosts your compassion for others, as well as for yourself!
How often do you stop to ask yourself questions?
Questions about why you feel angry in certain situations or thinking about what is making you scared for the future.
By understanding where your emotions and reactions come form, you can more easily dodge situations that will derail you, or prepare yourself to glide through a situation that might have given you difficulty before.
How you go about asking yourself these questions is also important.
❓Try asking ‘what’ questions such as ‘what can I do?’ And ‘What is making me feel this way?’
😰 ‘What’ questions help us to get to the bottom of things in a neutral and factual way, whereas by asking ‘why’ you are more likely to slip down a rabbit-hole of doubt.
📔 By writing these questions and their answers on paper or in a journal it allows you to make sense of the truth in a make clearer way.
Have you ever taken a moment to consider your internal dialogue? 💬
The voice of your inner doubter is very persuasive and hard to ignore – after all, it is trying to keep you safe, so it does have your best interests in mind.
You might not even realise that you are predisposing yourself to negativity or restricting you from making the most powerful choices possible.
It can be self perpetuating – negative self talk feeds on limiting beliefs about yourself and in turn seeks every opportunity to validate them, further embedding them in your subconscious.
You’ve got to take every chance to break out.
⏰Give yourself a chance break free and realign as often as possible, until it becomes natural, to start this, set an alarm to go off every hour.
🤔Take some time to identify and dissect the thoughts you are having in that moment, and practice this awareness.
✨Once you have captured a thought, translate it from an unhelpful notion to a helpful one.
Focus is your most valuable asset.
In modern life, distractions are around every corner that act to dilute your focus, making you less effective or productive.
By distilling and refining your broader intentions you can reject distractions, to maintain a strong focus, fixed on your intention.
🤔 Consider your long term mission, what do you want for yourself in 5 or 10 years time.
♥ Link emotions to the outcomes, so you know what it will feel like when you achieve them, giving you greater motivation to get there.
🥇 Read or remind yourself of these intentions every morning, to make sure that your mission is at the forefront of your mind, and everything that you do acts in its favour.
