Whistlestop cafe
It is so very much sadness that I need to announce that I will be hanging up my apron at the end of October, this has not been an easy decision in fact I feel incredibly emotional writing this post.
Bill and I took on the cafe in 2002, I was scared and wondered what on earth I was doing.
My doctors have been asking me to give it up for the last 12 years, it is just pure stubbornness and believing in the work I’ve been doing, and my love for each and everyone of you, the friends I’ve made, customers who have passed and the new friends I’ve made that has kept me going
During this time we have raised over half a million pounds for charities local and national, wards on Torbay hospital, and local people who have had needs. I say we, because you have all been bloody amazing.
Our pay it forward (kindness programme) has fed so so many struggling people.
I would like to thank the teams I have worked with past and present, as an employer I have been very blessed.
Biker nights will continue until October, I love these nights they bring me warmth and friendliness, you should all be proud of the amount you have achieved.
I want to go out with a bang for our charities this year, so please give with the amazing kindness that is our bikers.
I’m tired, not to well and struggling, but you will always see me smile.
So from me to you all, thankyou for the amazing memories, the friendship, the laughter and tears

On Tues eve we will be holding a minute silence for Lee Craven at 7pm inside and out the cafe, staff will stop serving during this time.
We ask that as many bikers as possible come and pay respect for a much loved man
ALL money collected in the bucket will go towards giving him the send off he deserves, so please give generously.

Parking outside for cafe use is free, if you’re going off to town it isn’t, tickets are issued at the discretion of APCOA who own the rights to the car park.
We are not responsible if you get a ticket, it is out of our jurisdiction.
Following a particular message which upset me a great deal, take responsibility you are not entitled, we don’t tell APCOA who to book

Good quality clean toys and books and puzzles to go to children who will have little or nothing over Christmas
Cuddly toys
Items for food hampers….Christmas hampers
Soup for the homeless
Any unwanted Christmas pressies, wine, smellies, gift sets etc to raffle or give to older children
We are so grateful to you for these donations every year and thank you for your support
