But have you considered your distribution strategy?

The best distribution strategy isn’t about creating five new pieces of content every week.

Stop trying to keep up with constant creation if you don’t have time to promote it.

Amplifying and distributing the content you ALREADY HAVE is far more effective.

Revisit your 2022 content (this could be photos on your phone, videos, blogs, previous high performing posts on here, reels), repackage it, and focus on getting it seen.

Distribution, not just creation, could be the key to real growth.

Your beliefs create your thoughts, your thoughts create your emotions and actions follow.

I'm a big believer in Awareness. Having the awareness of your internal dialogue and not always changing it, but just spotting the common things you say to yourself. Not every day will be easy, and some days we will be hard on ourselves, but all of this ^ shapes your energy towards your life and the steps you take to go after what you want.

Your personal brand can be affected.

I often hear people talk about what they do - their passion, their business - and then dumb it down, they play small. When actually they have so much talent and so much value to give.

Our personal brand, as a one person business owner, is everything we do. Every action. Every time we hit publish or post.

It's not about getting it perfect every time. But we do need to stand by ourselves, champion all the experience and knowledge we have, and if we're starting something new, champion the passion and the vision.

I'm a Marketing Mentor, and I think understanding how I think is important for those that join my membership or my mentorship.

I've gained so much business from people I didn't even know were watching. So many people say they love my content, but they don't comment or like it - I love this because we don't all have to follow the 'norm' to make a decision and make a purchase.

You also need to understand who you are trying to serve - your audience.

There is a whole tonne of self development to be done, and also customer insight and research.

We often focus on social media, lots of doing of marketing, but not much vision setting, strategy and planning and research and analysis - and focusing on us as the lead behind it all, the business owner.

"Success is the progressive realisation of a worthy ideal" - The outcome of years of research carried out by Earl Nightingale.

Success is the direction that YOU choose. It's the direction that YOU choose to go in with your life.

And that success is a direction which begins with a decision and has nothing to do with anything outside of yourself.

'Progressive' means increasing in severity over time.

'Realisation' means increasing in awareness of the materialisation of the worthy ideal.

'Worthy' - Is this ideal worthy of my attention day after day?

'Ideal' - An idea that you have fallen in love with that consumes your intellectual and emotional self.

I'm reading a book by Bob Proctor, who was coached by Earl Nightingale.

As a business owner, your success probably surrounds financial freedom, time freedom, providing value to others, positively influencing specific people or making a change in an industry.

But how do you steer your business in that chosen direction? How do you ensure that your ideal is not just worthy but also attainable?

Your direction is crucial in achieving this success. And a progressive direction is guided by a personal plan. That plan is twofold: a business plan and a marketing plan.

A marketing plan is the driver towards your goals.

It’s how you connect with your audience, how you communicate your value, and how you build the trust and relationships that convert into long-term success.

Marketing is the bridge between your vision and its realisation.

What do you think about every day? 🫣 Because thats what you really want.

Your goal is what you think about.

Where your energy goes your attention flows.

Your imagination can be used for good. You don’t have to know HOW you’re going to achieve your goal. You just have to desire it so much that you think about it living it and you can enjoy that feeling.

Feeling good about something means you’re in a higher vibration and this frequency will attract more of the same.

Now flip that. Feeling bad, low vibrations, bring the same too 😧

I believe in logical marketing and strategies. You need action and a roadmap and organisation. But you also need to be in the right mindset and frequency for that too.

The best approach to marketing requires a helicopter 🚁 view.

The things we do to create visibility for our business do not come in isolated parts.

The social posts > require a call to action > and nudge to your website or newsletter

Your website > requires updated consistent content and all the pages need optimising for search engines to find them

Your content > needs to answer questions that your customers are asking out into the world

Customer reviews > need collecting and displaying

The words that your customer speak > create stories for social posts and website content.

All elements of marketing connect together.

It’s a huge web with fine threads that create a little pathway for people to find you.

If you can’t see your marketing actions like a helicopter, let someone else hover above and tell you what they see - before your customers do silently.

Is your business 'drifting'? Are YOU 'drifting'?

If you've not got a plan - a business plan, a personal development plan, a marketing strategy...this is probably the case.

But all of those ^ things are well and good. Something written down on paper.

They all need to be backed up by something so much stronger than a PDF or a Powerpoint deck.

YOUR GOAL! YOUR VISION!

A goal and a vision that is so strong, you think about it ALL.THE.TIME.

You day dream about it.

It might be big hairy and scary, this is a good thing. The scarier the better.

The plan and the strategy are the small steps to get you there. The purposeful action.

We also have more arsenal in our tank that we don't even know how to use - Our Imagination.

We use our imagination to worry, to fret, to picture things that will never even happen. What if you used your imagination for good?

The more and more we think about something, it slots into our subconscious mind. This can be magnificent, it can also be detrimental. You choose.

I'm working on shifting out all the negative thoughts and replacing them with moments to daydream about my business, paying gratitude to what I have now, what I want and deserve in the future.

Because, once the goal goes into the subconscious mind is HAS TO manifest.

There is no known record of this kind of desire (a vision that is backed by absolute faith) of ever being without fulfilment.

I was talking to a client last week about her marketing strategy. How we will work together. The steps we will take. But first I've set her with some solid homework - To do the deep work around her vision, mission, 'her why?', her long term goal.

It goes even deeper than this too - What traits would such a person have who had your vision in the palm of their hands?

This is the type of work we do together when we build a marketing strategy or when I mentor you.

I take all of the self development lessons and the brand and marketing experience I've put time and energy into over the last 20 years, and weave it into our conversations and relationship.

So, do you have a plan? do you have a vision? or are you drifting?
