*** CASTING CALL FOR SIGIL FILMS NE ***
Sigil Films NE are casting for all three instalments in their debut sci-fi/post-apocalyptic film series - The EDEN Anthology.
The breakdown of the films within the Anthology and characters required for each film are as follows and all roles are EXPENSES ONLY.
Filming and audition locations will be in Sunderland and around North East England.
TRAFFIC
Synopsis: A pre-apocalyptic sci-fi set in the not too distant future, Traffic follows Jacob, a young programmer, on his early morning commute to work in the city.
In this world, AI has developed rapidly to the point of being a near completely sentient consciousness, while still being used for the menial tasks we use technology for today.
After trying to view some sensitive leaked content, Jacob and his AI system, Freya, discuss the morality of the use of technology, the news cycle, and the future of the human race, something Freya has a keen interest in.
Genre: Sci-Fi

Characters -
JACOB: Mid 20's-Early 30's, Slim, Dark hair, Clean shaven. Full Driving Liscence preferable but not a requirement.
An intelligent but self-absorbed programmer who has lived his entire life in a city where the use of technology and AI is the norm, but does he take the age he lives in and its capabilities for granted?
SURFACE
Synopsis: After being quarantined deep in the tunnels, two sisters suspected of carrying a deadly virus attempt to make it back to the surface, before it’s too late.
Genre: Sci-Fi/Thriller

Characters -
TESS: Female, 20-25, slim build, average height, dark hair
Tess is a strong-minded character, frustrated with the world she lives in. Tess is smart, honest and naturally has a cheeky attitude. Born in the slums, Tess has had a tough upbringing taking care of her mute sister after watching her parents being beaten and quarantined, separating the family. She struggles with a personal conflict throughout the story.
RAY: Female, 20-25, slim build, short-average height, blonde hair. Previous experience with use of sign language preferable but not a requirement.
An innocent mute character struggling with an injury throughout the film. Ray has been beaten by a mob before her and Tess were quarantined. Ray is the rock holding Tess together. She is smart, confident and innocent. Ray wants the best for her and Tess and believes that if they make it to the surface, they may find their parents again.
JENKINS: Male, 30-45 (Voice Acted)
A sinister character who is very controlled with his pronunciation and delivery. Jenkins attempts to convince Tess that the moral decision would be to end her and Ray’s suffering. Appears as a friend but is capable of turning when the situation calls for it.
BOUNTY
Synopsis: A Gunslinger in a post-apocalyptic world transports his Bounty to his employer for
payment, but he must make a choice - his life or his morality?
Genre: Sci-Fi/Western
Estimated run-time: 10-15 minutes

Characters -
THE GUNSLINGER: 20-30yrs old. Grizzled gunslinger with an air of fun about him. Short, dark, messy hair and a rough beard. About 6ft tall. Strong jawline and piercing eyes
are a must.
THE BOUNTY: Female, Mid 20s. 5ft tall, blonde hair and blue eyes - a look of innocence. She has fought tooth and nail for her survival, but has never lost hope.
The BANDIT LEADER: 30-40yrs old. Battle scarred and with no mercy. Older man, rough beard and hair - both long if possible. About 6ft tall, imposing figure with dark eyes.
