What does my background making documentaries really mean?
It means I love capturing the magic of live action, the joy when people come together.. combined with very natural and relaxed interviews. 😊
To create a wonderful celebration of an event, a film that tells a story and lifts the spirit.
Filming Katy Rose Bennett's singing workshop this week with Ekho Collective Earth Kind Holistic Offerings was such a pleasure and delight. And huge thanks to Sam, aged 9, such a natural star. 🤩

I've taken the time to listen to this extraordinary new interview and I recommend it to everyone. I worked with Nick briefly many years ago and this is such an incredible insight his approach to his work and how he handles incredibly sensitive situations when filming. I've had that too over the years... and like him, lost both parents and can support others through grief. One of the most important things highlighted in this is connection with others. We build each other up and support each other so much and sharing stories with our family and friends is vital when someone passes... but also beforehand. Which is why I have launched Family Legacy Films. Recording our loved ones, happy family memories and stories... whilst they are with us.
For it can truly help so much when we we loose them.

Flashback Friday.
One of the TV programmes I produced was filmed in Leicester about Hindu weddings. It was truly fascinating to learn how marriage is all about integrating entire families and communities. There are many traditions such as the Mendhi, henna tattoo ceremony, bride wearing a red dress and the wedding vows taken under a Mandap including walking around a fire. 🔥The Vedic fire ritual in a traditional Hindu wedding is an auspicious and important part of the marriage ceremony. The busy month of May has involved filming about energy efficiency in the home, editing and also fitting in an incredible digital detox break in Cornwall.
I finally visited St Michael's Mount and found the convergence point of four major key lines outside St Michael's church. Michael, Mary, Apollo and Athena - four pathways of electromagnetic energy that pulse across the Mount creating an indescribably spiritual and peaceful feeling. Coastal walks, spring flowers and vitamin sea.... nature truly is healing and the earth energies are alive to support and ground us.
Next week following the trail of the Michael line for a retreat in Glastonbury.
