We're going to be on telly again! The World of Wedgwood Tea Room is set to feature on Celebrity MasterChef on Monday 15 December at 9pm on BBC One and marks the start of Finals Week.

During the episode, the remaining five celebrity contestants, who are led by Cherish Finden, one of the world’s leading pastry chefs, will take over the Tea Room to serve afternoon tea on iconic Wedgwood tableware collections, Renaissance and Gio Gold.

Guests served by the celebrity contestants include Wedgwood Ornamenter and Figure Maker, Isabella McGough, Chief Curator of the V&A Wedgwood Collection, Catrin Jones, along with potter Florian Gadsby, ceramicist Hitomi Hosono, Councillor Lynn Sharpe, and Wedgwood descendant Simon Wedgwood.

We’ve just sampled the five-course Christmas dinner at The Hammersley restaurant inside Stoke-on-Trent College, which was a triumph in terms of food quality, presentation, and service. Xmas dinner is on again on 18/12 (£28.50) and the restaurant is also open Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays for lunch (£12 for 2 courses). The students are so cool and unflappable! Plenty of themed dinners to look forward to in the New Year, too!

Personal one (James) ✍🏼 In the last year we’ve lost a baby (Teddy) and had a baby (Xander). It’s been the most difficult and transformative year of my life. It’s all happened here. At Royal Stoke. At home , in Staffordshire. And honestly, I couldn’t wish to have been anywhere else for this period of our lives.

We’ve received such incredible kindness that my heart could go boom. A thousand interactions from a thousand people. Some who I’ve tried to mention in the article.

I’ve always known this place is special. But more so now. I’ve felt it. It’s the kindness. The kindness in our people is extraordinary.

Forget the potholes for a minute. Focus on the extraordinary people here who are extraordinarily kind ❤️
