I am looking for a story for one of our magazines about someone who has relocated to the South Holland area in the last 10 years, ideally from another county/above 50 miles away.

We would just like to do a quick interview with you over the phone, take a couple of pictures and then the article will be printed in our next tourism guide. We would be looking for the reasons you moved, what you love about the area, what appealed in the first place etc.

Mark your calendars, because it's almost time for the most exciting event of the summer! Deepings Raft Race 2023 is just around the corner, happening on Sunday, 6th August! 🗓️😎

Get ready for a day filled with laughter, fun, and an action-packed water adventure! 🎉 With a vibrant funfair and a fantastic variety of up to 50 stalls (all pitches taken now!), this year's event promises non-stop excitement for everyone. 🎡🎈

But wait, there's more! It's not too late to join in on the rafting action. Gather your friends and family, form a dream team, and create unforgettable memories as you race down the river together. 🚣‍♂️💨 With 6 exciting categories to choose from and fabulous trophies up for grabs, the competition is heating up!

And guess what? While you're having a blast, you'll also be contributing to a fantastic cause. Our dedicated team is working hard to reopen Deepings Leisure Centre, and this event is raising funds to support this worthy endeavour. 🏊‍♂️🏋️‍♀️ So, come on down and show your support!

Stalls will start opening from 9:30 AM, and the main event kicks off at 11 AM with a thrilling raft parade from the Waterton Arms. The first adrenaline-pumping race begins at 12 noon, and trophy presentations await at the incredible Iron Horse Ranch House around 4:30 PM. Don't miss a single moment of the action!

For our first post, it feels fitting to start with the weekend's revival of Spalding Flower Parade after ten years since the last 🌷

The parade is part of our heritage. Thanks to Spalding resident Stephen Timewell and the organisation of volunteers, we hope to see the parade as an annual event now for the whole community to enjoy.
