It's the summer of 2020. The United Kingdom has just overcome the first lockdown of the COVID-19 pandemic. Restrictions have been relaxed, but not completely lifted, when Shi Yanming and Martine Niven set off for a 7 day, 96 miles walk along the West Highland Way in Scotland from Milngavie to Fort William, followed by another 6 day, 74 miles walk along the Great Glen Way from Fort William to Inverness, with a bit more company.

In this small series, we reminisce our adventures and share with you our best practices and give you some inspiration.

English society consists of many different cultures. The UK is home to the largest Pakistani community in Europe. It has a very long and rich cultural history. Today we welcome two members of Southampton's Pakistani culture to explore their roots and life in their community.
Ahmed Hussain from the Pakistan Welfare Association and also General Secretary of Dar-ul-Aloom & Southampton Razvia Mosque Trust shares his story of coming to England and his work of preserving Pakistani language, poetry and tradititions. Our second guest is Samra Chaudhary from Azwaa Radio. She is also involved in preserving and promoting Pakistani culture, especially through music in her own radio show.
