Don’t hold on to your anger ⚓️

May makakasama talaga tayong mga wala sa ayos na kasamahan sa barko mapa-opisyal man o ratings, walang pinipili yan dahil nasa ugali na talaga ng tao yan.

Now if you can’t control your anger kapag ka nagkasagutan kayo, ikaw pa din ang maiistress jan at kapag naiistress ka nababawasan yung positive energy natin at maaaring magresulta ng poor performance sa ating mga duties and responsibilities sa barko.

So, wag mo nang antayin pa ang sunrise or sunset kapag galit ka, tanggalin mo na kaagad yan, take a deep breath and let go of the anger.

Trabaho lang dapat, walang personalan.

I can see that somehow, your thoughts are clouded by exhaustion. It's been months now.

I know.

The tedious work and the hectic schedule, changes in timezone, fatigue, bad weather, inspections and audits here and there - all of these sum up to a whirling storm that starts to build up inside your head. It's hard to complain when all eyes are on you. You have a family to feed. You have dreams to achieve. You don't want people judging you for choosing a job that was never easy in the first place. And somehow, someway, stress creeps in and slowly erodes the confidence and tough facade that you built.

Calm down.

Breathe in.

Breathe out.

Remember the days when you were out there, navigating through the busy streets of a city both promising and unpromising - hoping for an interesting life in the future. You told yourself that you will do whatever it takes just for you to get on board a ship, right? Now, you are there.

When doubt starts creeping in, always try to remember the days when you were dreaming.

I know someday, you will have to choose whether you will stay and strive to reach the top or leave and choose another path.
But right now, as you exist in the present, live.

LIVE life to the fullest.
I know you are tired.
I know you are weary.

So rest, dear sailor.

Rest when you have the chance.

But don't you dare quit on yourself.

Someone is waiting for you back home.

Kung iyakin ka sa dami ng oras at sa bitin ka sa off well hindi ka pwede mag trabaho sa barko.

Simula ng sumampa ng barko nabura na yung salitang "overtime" "day-off" at "holiday". Opo tama yung nabasa niyo. 11hours to 13 hours a day kung minsan inaabot yung trabaho sa isang buong linggo for 8 months onboard. Yung trabaho na pangmalakasan. Kakain sa wala sa oras. Kung pihikan ka sa pagkain malamang mauubos pera mo kakabili ng cup noodles dito. Kakain ng patago at nakatayo. Nakaduty ng pasko at bagong taon kasama yung mga taong di mo kilala para macelebrate yung mga ganitong okasyon. Pag hindi mo inenjoy yung sarili mo malamang tatalon ka nalang sa barko. Di nauubos ang trabaho hanggang di mo natatapos ang kontrata.

Wag niyo husgahan ang mga taong nagpopost ng inuman sa crew mess dahil yun lang minsan ang gamot nila sa pangungulila sa pagkawalay sa pamilya. Wag niyo sila husgahan kung may mga bagay sila na nabibili dahil deserve nila yun. Yung mga ngiti sa bawat litrato sa mga nadadaanang port ay simbolo ng pagiging matatag kahit mahirap ang trabaho.

Salute sa lahat ng marino na gumagawa ng paraan para makaraos sa buhay!
