Hey everyone,
I've had to make the difficult decision to stop running the classes at Mama Knows Bestish.
With my other business returning and getting increasingly busier I had to make some changes with work/ life balance.

From the first session in 2020, just trying to create a space for new parents to feel they could get out and not feel so alone in lockdown (myself included) to what it became. I couldn't of imagined all the people and babies who walked through the door and kept coming back to this day. I have had the pleasure to watch along with with Rae so many babies grow and achieve so much, when we were so desperately craving some form of normality, we were able to create a safe space where everyone came together and supported each other. We've had chats, cakes, coffees, crying,laughter, yoga, fitness, raves, discos and photoshoots, first aid course, birthday parties and I am so grateful to everyone.
Thank you so much, it has been such a pleasure.

Our studio in benfleet will be open on Thursday 10th March and doing a day to collect as much as we can of what is needed to be sent to the people of Ukraine.
I have been told that the things they need the most are

Our studio is open from 10 am and my staff and I will be collecting these things in organising them boxing them and then taking it all to the Ukraine crisis centre at Rayleigh megazone. From there I have no idea what occurs but I'm sure the amazing people at the crisis centre get it where it needs to be.

Thank you so much to everyone who came to our Xmas party yesterday. We had so much fun and all the outfits did not disappoint, especially our very own Grinch😂

Happy 1 year to Babies Who Lockdown!
I can't believe it's been a whole year since the first session to what it is now.

2020 will go down in history for many reasons
Having a baby in lockdown was tough, tougher than I'll probably ever be able to explain, sounds silly but so many things you felt robbed off, missing out on things that you had been imagining in the build up to your baby being born and even after they were here. So long waiting to meet loved ones and some still waiting now.
But this group created a place for people to join together in a time when we were told to stay apart, supporting each other as first, second,third time mums in such an unprecedented time.
Nothing fancy, just a space to chat and not feel alone in this lockdown life. To hear someone else say "me too" when sharing about a sleepless night, a breakdown, a poonami, or any other joys of new parenthood!

I'm so grateful to everyone who has walked through the door, thank you for continuing to come along to the sessions. Meeting so many people along the way and watching all the babies grow, seeing so many "firsts" not only in Rae but all of the rest of the Babies Who Lockdown gang has been such a pleasure. Some friends for life have been made for not just me but my daughter .

I wanted to create a place of comfort and welcome and I'm proud to say that I think we may have just done that,
I can't wait to see what year 2 brings ❤️

Hi everyone, unfortunately Classes will be cancelled for this whole week.
Sadly I've been struck down with sickness and it would be irresponsible of me to run any classes.
The studio will be extra deep cleaned to welcome you back W/C 27th September.

Just a gentle reminder, these bugs/viruses are inevitable but if you or anyone within your household has been ill please give a weeks window before returning. You can never truly know where you've picked something up but There are so many cases going round and I understand it's impossible but our little lockdown babies are hit that little bit harder.

Come along for this relaxed, low intensity class where we can use our babies as our weights!
There is no pressure and you can do as much or as little as you like and if baby isn't having it then that's not a problem either!

You can use a carrier as seen in picture below, or keep your baby in the pram, whatever works for you!

This class is a non stop party for 45 minutes,
with lights, music and dancing. With a box full of goodies and sensory items galore, you and your little one can have a mini Raeve with our glowsticks and disco lights. Each week is a different setlist for them to dance too, depending on little ones age, they can move around or again lay down and take in all the colours and different things going on!

This class is a meet up session where we get to all have a chat and our babies interact.
Tea and coffee included
There is some soft play and a ball pit for the babies on the move.
This is perfect for your little ones as an introduction to other children if they haven't been able to attend many groups. The space is big enough to roam but not overwhelming for them when faced with other people around. This is a safe space where you can change/feed your little one,
Just watch out for my daughter Rae she's a sucker for your snacks 😂
There is also a private group you can join to meet other local parents and share tips/advice anything you want!

I am about to post about what we currently offer with new things in the pipeline once BoJo makes his next announcement! So keep your eyes peeled 👀

Little bit about Mama Knows Best-Ish...

Having a baby in a pandemic wasn't the plan, for anyone! And being unable to do any classes pre birth and after with my daughter, I found it incredibly lonely. There was nothing available locally and as my business was sadly not trading I had a space just there calling me to use it.
This is how Babies Who Lockdown was created, a support group that ran once a week for new parents to get a chance to meet.
The very basic need of interaction had been taken from so many of us and the ability to have a simple conversation with someone else has made such a difference. I've had ladies who've come and said afterwards their partners have made a comment on the improvement of their mood and general happiness. Theres so many positives to the group, our children are being able to also interact creating memories and friendships at such a young Age which in turn is helping their development. This is more than just a support group it's a community within our community.
Alongside classes I run a podcast under this name and when things began to open up I merged the two together to create the Mama Knows Best-Ish studio somewhere that focuses on mothers and babies together and separate.
