We can't wait for UK Proms in the Park tonight! At Attingham Park NT - the weather looks great, so bring out those picnic rugs and flags and come ready for a Last Night of the Proms extravaganza! Still a few tickets left, I think! (gates open 5.30pm)

Featuring talented local musicians as part of the UK Proms in the Park live orchestra, plus special guests and a lone piper! This year's theme is 'Out of this World' - with music from the movies, grand opera and musical theatre.

Treat yourself and bring a picnic and Pimms, sit back, listen to spectacular music in the great outdoors!

Something new and exciting coming from the creators of one of Shrewsbury's most recognisable brands.

Husband and wife team Duncan & Samantha McGregor have announced the opening date for their new store; Dipp'd Cookies · Donuts · Brownies.

Nestled on Claremont Hill in Shrewsbury, the new brand will be the first in the UK to offer authentic American Sugar cookies, with a regularly rotating menu of new and interesting flavours we wanted to bring a slice of America to the UK.

To celebrate the opening on Wednesday 12th June Duncan & Sam will be offering the first 10 customers a free gold card which entitles them to a free box of cookies, donuts or brownies once a month for a year.

Not only that but the next 100 customers to visit in the morning will receive a free chocolate chip cookie in celebration of the opening.

Leading up to the grand opening there will also be spot giveaways of free mini cookies, so keep an eye on the official Instagram and pages for the giveaway details.

The couple plan to release new flavours every couple of weeks and will always have firm favourites in-store like the traditional chocolate and double chocolate chip cookies.

Every cookie is hand decorated to order in-store and will be release several different dipping sauces to buy to complement the range. Over the next 6 months there are plans to offer vegan and gluten free cookie options.

Samantha Mcgregor said “We want Dipp’d to be somewhere you can sit and chill with friends and the cookies have purposely been made big for sharing and dipping. Planet Doughnut will still be supplying doughnuts, and we are working closely with them to offer a tear and share doughnut option in the future, which we believe will be well received”

So, since moving to the 10 episode format I am having so much come in about entertainment it's hard to say no. So I'm playing with trialling a 5 episode spin-off of Scene Severn, a Shropshire podcast based solely on music, theatre and media.

I would love to hear your thoughts and suggestions :)
