Silent Stage Studio is a modern, air-conditioned, headphone-only rehearsal space & recording studio run by Steven Elsey - https://www.facebook.com/steven.elsey (Tink, Tonesucker, Plesiosaur~), located on the Shotley Peninsula in Suffolk. A small recording/control room, a larger open rehearsal / recording space, and a separate drum room with it's own PC recording setup. The rehearsal space is based

around a 20 track digital mixer/recorder (recording at 44.1Khz, 24bit), each band member can have their own headphone mix, so you'll all be able to hear what you are playing. Plus your sessions can be recorded, so you can review your rehearsal later, or mix your finished songs yourself. Great for bands and composers exploring ideas, creating demos, or honing sets for playing live. If you'd prefer, we can mix and master your tracks for an addition fee. The rehearsal room is air-conditioned and equipped with everything you need - Roland electronic drum kit (mesh pads and 16" kick drum), guitar pre-amps/DI with speaker emulation (includes FX loops to add your own FX), bass pre-amp/DI with speaker emulation, mics, stands and of course, headphones. Note, we do not have any keyboards available, so be sure to bring your own for DI. The hourly rate for rehearsal, including recording your session (if required) and engineer to set you up, is £21, with a minimum booking time of 2 hours. Basic rig rundown:

Roland Electronic drum kit with mesh heads, TD-15 module and 16" bass drum with mesh head and trigger, for natural feel.

2 x Blackstar Dept 10. Dual Drive DI/cab sim pedals + Mooer Shimverb reverb.

1 x Tech 21 VT Bass DI with cab sim, EH Tone Corset compressor, EH Big M**f bass fuzz. Audio-Technica ATH-M30x headphones. sE V7 mics for rehearsals + various other dynamic and condenser mics for recording sessions (Warm Audio WA47, Aston Spirits, Rode NT1, sE, Sontronics, etc.). Rehearsal mixing and recording to Zoom L20 digital mixer/recorder and PC. Drum kit is connected up to PC for midi capture if required. Recording, mixing / mastering using Reaper, Mixbus 32c V9, Ableton Live, with Waves, iZotope, Plugin Alliance plugins. Monitoring via Tannoy Gold 7 nearfield monitors. For recording (tracking vocals, overdubs, etc.) we charge £27 per hour including engineer. We have a number of guitars and basses, plus a DW collectors series drum kit (10", 12", 16", 20"), all available to utilise within the hourly recording rate. For mixing we charge £105 per track (up to 32 tracks, unattended). For master we charge £27 per track (unattended).
