Hello! We are Pull Yourself Together, an indiepop fanzine and clubnight based in Sheffield-via-Manchester. We like to listen to pop songs, which we then write about and play in bars and stuff. People seem to like that we do this, and they come to see us and pick up our little zine every two months. Lots
of people have been saying nice things about the zine recently, including Steve Lamacq, Marc Riley, Huw Stephens, John Kennedy, Artrocker and the NME. PYT nights are all about a lovely relaxed atmosphere, the perfect place to catch up with your friends over a drink whilst we play great music for you. All in all, it is a win win situation. PYT have played DJ sets at a number of ace events, including In The City, Swn, Sounds From The Other City festival, Eurocultured festival, guest slots at Drowned in Sound’s DiScover night, Underachievers Please Try Harder, Stop Making Sense, Asparagus Next Left, Mushaboom, Shake It! and more! We are always happy to come and play pop songs to people, if you would like to book us to DJ drop us an email. Pull Yourself Together also has a record label. Our first release was Patterns - New Noise EP, which has been championed by Huw Stephens on BBC Radio One and John Kennedy on Xfm Xposures.
