During lockdown, Kathleen sought out a community amongst the blue spaces that surrounded her home, and it changed her life. #PlungeFilm tells the story of how one woman's relationship with the sea gave her the strength to keep going. 🌊
We are so proud that #PlungeFilm has its World Premiere TODAY at Edinburgh International Film Festival!
🌎 19:00, EIFF @ Inspace as part of the Animation Shorts programme.
Plunge tells the story of Katie who found empowerment, friendship, and healing by plunging into the sea. Through Katie’s story this beautiful, animated film addresses themes of isolation and connection, mental health and wellbeing, and climate change and empowerment.
Have you ever wondered how an animation film is produced? Animator and director Ellie Land reimagines Kathleen's underwater dreamlike scenes in #PlungeFilm, and transports us to the depths of Seaham's coastal shores.
Premiering as part ofEdinburgh International Film Festival's animation short strand, watch Plunge this August. https://bit.ly/EIFFTicket
