A busy morning and afternoon for the Irlam and Cadishead PCSO’s. This afternoon we have assisted Billy & Gill from The Local Mag to clean up The Local cenotaph in preparation for Remembrance Sunday. Lest we forget.

Did you spot the new defib map in the latest edition of the Mag?

If not, here it is!

Did you know, early CPR and defibrillation can double the chances of surviving an out-of-hospital cardiac arrest!

With that in mind, HDT felt it fitting to produce a new and updated map showing exactly where all 11 of the 24 hour, publicly accessible Defibrillators are located within the district!

The map is below if you would like to print it out and stick it on your fridge to familiarise yourself should you ever need to use one, there is also an A4 sized image of it in the latest March edition of the Local Mag - Irlam and Cadishead that you can cut out and use!

The defibrillators in our district are crucial and a lot of people are unaware of how lucky we are as a district to have so many in a close proximity!

Good news, we are hosting a coffee and cake morning in just under 2 weeks time to replace the Christmas coffee morning we were unable to hold due to COVID.

It will take place Wednesday 9th February 2022 from 10am until 12noon.

It will be a great opportunity to have a little socialise over some lovely homemade cakes and a nice cuppa'.

So please come along and enjoy!

New issue out now!

HDT Bake Off…..

Sadly, due to the latest government announcement, the HDT team have decided to postpone baking cakes and have put their in-house Community Coffee Morning on hold until 2022. They’re looking forward to getting on their aprons and whipping up some tasty treats to share together in the New Year, however, as soon as is possible.

Gladly though, the team will still be continuing with their outdoor Christmas activities, starting with the Elf Trailer tomorrow Tuesday 14th and Community Carols next Tuesday 21st.

With the world showing more signs than it has in the past 18 months of opening up, this months Mag is full of exciting news including numerous events which have taken place over the past month and lots of positive stories!

Local Fundraiser to treat and care for wildlife and stray animals!

Local veterinary staff from Irlam Animal Clinic are doing a sponsored climb up Mount Snowdon on the 30th May to raise funds for their "Stray Fund'.

The 'Stray Fund' ables the clinic to treat and care for injured or poorly wildlife and strays, until they can be returned back to their natural habitat or rehomed.

The fund relies on donations, raffles, book sales etc. However, due to the current climate, they have been unable to organise any such events which means the Stray Fund is now at an all time low.

To sponsor them or make a donation, pop down to the clinic in Irlam and ask for a sponsor form.
